The pilot is terrific and the premise itself is one worthy of a series, however, the series takes a huge left turn once it turns into Joyce just taking one victory lap after another. Emily Nussbaum no longer writes reviews for shows but if you check out her Twitter page, I'd recommend reading her thoughts on the season. Anyways, it's fun but I probably won't stick with this moving forward, it is a missed opportunity.
It started strong (9s & 10s), but the last few episodes were disappointing (5s & 6s). I thought I'd be excited for season 2, but currently, I really don't care if I see this play out.
