"Can't we just find more articulate suspects?" Holden!!
To be fair, those prison conversations were really awkward, (i guess there are dumb crazy serial killers too, not just Ted Bundys) and Bill's absence is felt. He smooths out Holdens abrupt edges.
Great episode. I liked how they showed the.... contrast (and similarities) between the white and black communities and how the police handled the cases.
I find it quite obvious that Holden would lose his interest in those 2 killers. It was Kemper's intellect and self awareness that attracted him in the first place. These guys were the complete opposite of that.
It's plain to see now how his main motivation differs from Bill's.
Bill is sickened by the subjects but he sees interacting with them as means to an end while for Holden they are the main attraction.
This was really hard to watch... First we have a scene where the wife leaves the faucet running for minutes on end and then we have a whole 10 minutes of a guy smacking the whole damn time . I almost had to turn it off but I persevered.
Quite a poor episode, season filler
“Holden Ford. It’s a bad joke in Australia” LOL.
So I felt that in this episode we saw Holden actually losing his game (being bored as Wendy pointed out), not seeing beyond the weirdness of the killers, and being compliant with the investigator (I feel the Holden we knew before would push it further). So we probably see his fall-down due to his panic attack and perhaps the meds that somehow numbed him?
I can't wait to see how it'll play out, as well as Wendy's attempt to have some kind of personal life - maybe she'll get in trouble because of that?

First season: charismatic, emotionally and intellectually complex killers. Second season: dumb killers.
Also, word of the day: erogenously.
