I absolutely loved the montage of their traveling. Best way to get to know each character, their habits, and illustrate just how different they are. So much better than the first episode!!
This show is fantastic in every aspect. Acting, writing, directing and what have you. But it's so so damn dark. Don't think I can binge-watch it like I planned.
And Ed Kempers actor is fucking brilliant.
The actor they cast to play and Kemper was spot-on.
Ed Kemper...what a nice fella. Great soundtrack so far. In that aspect this is basically David Fincher's Miami Vice.
definitely wayyyyy better and much more interesting than the first ep. As a person who likes to watch dark, disturbing serial crimes show (though i am NOT romanticizing it), this episode has deepened my interest to continue watching it as it is now slowly unfolding serial crimes involved in the series.
And I am also starting to love Bill and Holden's bond. They may be different from each other, they may fight like cats and dogs. But when one needs help, the other backs him up.
I kinda expected a "I want to believe" poster and a couple of pencils stuck to ceiling.
But I'm still not sure what this is all about. Nothing's happening, they don't solve any crimes so far. Is it really just about getting behavioral sciences accepted into the FBI ? 'Cause that sounds like something for a documentary.
I wonder where was Mulder in the last scene?
santa cruz psych department represent!
Who thought of Hannibal Lecter resemblances with Ed? I've seen anything like this on TV before. The pace and lack of thrill might turn off the masses but will be really pissed if this is doesn't strike up a conversation. Can't wait to watch the remaining 8

Brilliant performance by Cameron Britton as Ed Kemper, I was tense and horrified the entire time.
The level of writing and acting is superb, but the subject matter is certainly not for everyone and one would need to take deep breaths between episodes.
