It's an adaption but good enough for ppl like me who never read the books. There was enough story to believe in what drives the characters and in their falling in love even tho there is only 6 eps and their relationship changes many times.
It's not much original nor fresh. There is so many of books/tv shows with most of the plot that Maxton Hall uses but it was interesting enough to see completely the German actors and their portrayal of such stories.
A really successful adaptation of Mona Kasten's bestseller. The actors do a fantastic job, especially Damian Hardung, who in my opinion is one of the best young german actors. But Harriet also embodies Ruby in a sensational way.

Absolutely loved this. The only disappointment is that the book series it's based on is not translated to English yet!
