It was a strong season. I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe more than the first. We got to see Frank doing more than just his vendetta. All the characters that got any time were better than previously except maybe Murphy the cop. I think I liked the girls story a lot more than Billy's. Jon Bernthal was born for this part and it will suck, really suck, if he doesn't get to do this anymore because Disney want to start their own streaming service.
I think Punisher would have shot Billy in the head at least once. I liked the ending but wanted to see him checking up on the girl. By the end Madani was off my shit list and I didn't want to kill Murphy.
Kinda hoped Billy was gonna survive, not gonna lie. Guess I love my wounded birds too.
That ending, though - brilliant.
R.I.P. Stan Lee.
Such a great finale for such a great show! I just hope that Marvel doesn't end up cancelling this one too like the other ones..
God damn it!! I loved the whole show and this episode especially. What am I gonna watch now.
I really liked the ending. I thought Frank would go to meet with Beth, but I guess the reason to why he didn't was maybe because he thinks he'd put her in danger again if they are together, so I guess that's that. Still loved the episode.
In my opinion, they couldn't have picked a better actor than Jon Bernthal to do the Punisher role.
Absolutely perfect. I loved this series. I only hoped for Frank to go and sit near Billy while he was dying. Can't complain though! He had his reasons to finish him.
I'll admit that wasn't what I had envisioned as a finale but when I think about it's even better than having a full episode of just shooting stuff. They always found the right balance between the violence and the character moments. In the end Frank showed he does care and he does have a heart and that's why you root for the guy. He does bad stuff but he also knows when to stop. And if you think about the way he put down Billy - that's probably the most brutal way to do it.
I hope we haven't seen the last of The Punisher but I also fear we will hear news of its cancellation soon (thanks Disney).
Woowww.
"I know who you are. You are the whirlwind." —John Pilgrim
"Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind; it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked." —Jeremiah 23:19
"Damn right." —Frank Castle
Thank you, Jon Bernthal, for bringing to such life the Frank "The Punisher" Castle we will all remember.
Good ending. This has the makings for a strong season 3-- they spent a lot of time building their characters- too bad it won't get that. I did not think this was as strong as season one, though. The form was off. Wobbly. Too intense in some places then not intense enough in others, or the wrong cast members at the right time, that sort of thing.
The Lethal Lovable Psychopath. Own your own Punisher now! You can pet him and he won't kill you- if you're good.
Great season. It sure beat the curse of the other shows, where they went to shit in their second season. The Punisher kept it simple. Bad guy, semi- good guy .. now .. FIGHT! .. and fighting they did.
Funny how in the middle of all the brutality, the show still uses vaudeville like humor. He has the senator, thinks John as the girl. Turns out Frank has the girl too. But then loses her, and the senator too.
Final gunfight is pretty cool, and original. They take turns shooting through the wall, then switch sides, and weapons and keep shooting through the same wall.
And the real final fight is in line with the whole show. It's brutal. It's bloody. It's dirty.
A bit of a breaking the illusion moment: how can someone manage to be a US Senator, and still be so nice and clean and honest ? I really can't buy that.
I'm not sure whether Billy recalled having killed Frank's family or not. But the way Frank just ends him, without trying to find out was pretty satisfying. Same with the way the Shultzes.
That was a good ending for a pretty good season, but honestly, could have done without all the Billy moments.
l lost interest in the show after first 5 episodes but it became interesting again.I'm gonna miss these Netflix-Marvel shows so much.
It was a good ending for the series.
Don't like it, was fair, but something doesn't fitted. Like a Homeland officer threw a woman through a window and that's ok :D; all this way to build Josh Stewart's character and at the end, he let his captive gone without even check if Frank had the senator.
Meh, seems like the producers rush things up to close the story.
“HEY! I’LL DANCE WITH YA!” Great last episode.
I really wish they had shown Micro
Now that was a finale! It will be a real shame if the series is canceled.
Really good solid season, as always with Marvel Netflix shows it's 3 to 5 episode too long, but that ending was glorious, hope to see more Punishing.
All in all, a wonderful finale for the show. Enjoyed every bit of it! Gotta admit I almost cried when I saw Billy so wrecked. They just got him look so human and likable at that single moment.
feeling bad for billy AND john now. such a good finale
"I'll dance with you"
Russo and Madani fight; she shot him a few times and he almost strangles her to death and escapes. Krista is alive and recovering in the hospital. Frank threats to harm David unless he gets Amy back. Amy texts Frank Robert's location, he shows up and a gun fight starts. Amy gets between then and Robert leaves with her. Russo sees a random doctor to try and fix him but when he passes out, the doctor leaves him in a dumpster and takes Russo's money. Kurt takes David to Mahoney trying to get out of this mess that doesn't involve Russo. At the trailer, Robert lets Amy go and Frank and Robert fight. Russo ends up in Kurt's basement, Frank finds Russo and kills him ending this violence. Frank finds David's parents, shots the wife and the husband kills himself. Frank let Robert live and leave with his kids. Amy says goodbye to Frank as she gets on a bus to Florida. Months later, Madani, who has quit Homeland Security offers Frank a new job but he turns it down as he'll continue what he does best in New York.
Finishing this season the same day Marvel announces the show is canceled totally sucks. It gained so much potential to create more crossover opportunities. The Russo plotline was a bit dragged out and felt anticlimactic and the Pilgrim plotline just seemed to be lacking something more. Here's to hoping we might see more of Frank Castle in the future.
RIP Stan Lee.
Season was fucking terrible. I don't know what y'all on about. Had it been 8 episodes or so and focused on one villain, then it could have been better

Whole season, I was expecting that Frank's going to see Beth again but he didn't. I'm kinda disappointed about that.
