I normally don’t like flashback episodes but this was so well done and interesting! The scene between Jess and Trish on the roof actually made me cry. They’ve been through so much already, I’m glad they have each other.

Jessica’s first boyfriend was a decent human being. Sure he wasn’t perfect but he obviously just sold Jess out to get those guys off his back. He wouldn’t have had a chance against them alone in the alley.

I feel I can understand Jessica's psych a little better after this episode. Definitely one of the best of the season.

This was a heart breaking episode. Also, I'm so glad I already forgot that horrible song.

This season should've been released on Mother's Day to honor Jessica's awful moms.

I don’t think I’ve ever cried watching this show until now. What a great episode. You feel every minute of it. Those poor girls have been through so much.

Really enjoyed this flashback episode. It was really satisfying to see Jessica happy, if only for a few dozen minutes. All the more heartbreak to help understand her character now. It's an interesting route they're taking with the mother and I'm looking forward to seeing where that thread leads!

So far Jessica's mom sucks so bad...Killing her's shity boyfriend is one thing, but drugging Jess is completely different.

A standout episode of the entire Netflix Marvel run. The show put in the work to make this prequel mean a lot, and at no point does it feel retcon-y or inconsistent.

A flashback episode gives the audience insight to the development of Jessica's alienating mentality and ability to keep people close to her as well as what happened to her mother after that deadly car accident. It took years for her mother to recover and when she escapes the hospital to find Jessica, she invernes in Jessica's boyfriend's issue with his buddies and accidentally kills him. Jessica seeks comfort from Trish and both realize they need help and therapy. In the present time, Jessica says she won't forgive her mother for what she did.

You having fun ? / I'm having bourbon I'm sure I'll use that line in the future.

So a whole flashback episode. That was really interesting. Both on the mother's side and what she went through at IGH, and on Jessica pre-Kilgrave life. Also to really see how some stuff we heard about in the IGH investigation really happened. Even Trish as child star drug addict. That was all pretty interesting.

Krysten Ritter can really sell the less damaged teenager Jessica. Can't say the same wih the others though. Trish is the same and really looks old for whatever age she's supposed to be. The doctor looks even older that in the present.

It sets up an interesting side for the mother. On one hand she may not be totally responsible for everything she's done, she goes crazy due to her procedure. On the other, she killed Jessica's boyfriend, which seems something that was really defining for her, she even kept the Alias name. But I guess that won't make much difference in their relationship in the end.
