Let the primal scream out!
This was such an engaging and enjoyable episode, jam-packed with awesome scenes. Every character was great this episode: Foggy with his wonderful public speech, Nadeem and Matt with their search for proof about Dex, Karen with her courageous meeting with Fisk (what a scene!), Dex with a role that continues to impress the hell out of me and manages to draw a lot of sympathy out of me...and Wilson Fisk, the unbelievably cold-blooded and evil villain.
Every scene of this episode felt important, lots of the acting hits its peak of the season so far (especially Vincent D'Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll), and the ending was a huge shock.
"Rage cannot stay inside, otherwise it will become a poison, and kill you from within."
The scene where Karen confronted Wilson is so god damn good. The show just keeps getting better and better and better.
What in God’s green earth is Karen doing? Is she trying to get herself and everyone around her killed? Pfff. It wouldn’t surprise me. That scene was good though. AND THAT ENDING HAD ME SCREAMING! Come on, Maggie must’ve known he’d hear her. Asdfghj I’m so grateful this show aired all at once. I would’ve gone mad if I wasn’t able to play the next episode right away.
HOLY SHIT!! The sister is his mother??? Are you kidding me?? I did not see that coming.
You see Nadeem, they are the good guys. Karen, Foggy and Matt were telling the truth all of this time. Now is too late, Fisk and Dex knows you are against them.
God lord I thought Karen was going to died, thank God Foggy knows how stubborn she can be.
This season keeps getting better and better.
I love every interaction between Daredevil and Bullseye. The action definitely makes up for the slower parts of the season.
JAW DROPPED.
Fisk vs Karen scene was sooo good, I could watch that scene for another 40 mins lol.
AND THAT ENDING OMG, didnt expect at all.
Dex to Julie: "Help me, you won't regret this I promise". Yeah, right. How about "now you know, these journalists everyone's talking about, killed them. Yep, that's me." How could he think he's not already totally over the line ? The line from his psychiatrist about his moral compass not being broken looks like a very bad diagnosis.
And Fisk has her killed immediately. Probably to keep Dex under his thumb. Also probably something that will turn Dew against him before the end.
Great scene between Karen and Fisk. Same vibe as with Manning, just a few levels above. Great acting and show of the characters on both side. Though yet again, Karen's way over her head. Did she really planned to die ? To what end ? She should have already realized that Fisk controls everything there.
The Matt/Nadeem collaboration is good too.
Overall a good episode.
Oh come on, she's his mother ?
I don't know which to like more: that brilliantly tense conversation, or the ending. I mean come on, we all suspected it since their first scene, but this revelation was right on point.
It`s amazing how the can keep up the suspense over such a long (in TV timeframes) period of time and than peak again and again with great scenes.
What an ending! I was not expecting that at all.
Ok, so maybe I'm overthinking this, but what if the agent that put Naveed on the Fisk case is also corrupt? While Ray has a good reputation with the Bureau, his financial situation could make him the perfect target to take on this particular role-he's just desparate enough to want to continue to try and get those high reward take-downs that only Fisk could supply info for. Idk, maybe I'm reading into it too far, but... I'd thought about it for a while, just seems suuuper convenient that Fisk also wouldn't talk to literally any other agent than Ray, too? So maybe there's more FBI under Fisks' manipulation than we think...
Karen's going slightly more unhinged as we go on, and you can tell she wants to put Fisk back in jail just as, if not probably more than Matt, at this point :joy: That being said, the "interview" between her and Fisk was EXCELLENT. It's gonna be interesting, now that Fisk has an even more personal way to get back at her.
After all the screentime Sister Maggie has had, especially with Matt, I think we all kinda ??? saw that ending coming. There otherwise wouldn't be a point in having had so much time with the nuns... But still, that reveal was great! I genuinely love this show's writing, it's just so enjoyable to watch play out.
Wow, what a revelation. I never would have guessed that last moment.
Man this season is on fire !!! Karen scene with Fisk is was sooo good and tense! And The Last scene OMG ; The Sister is Matt's Mother!!!
Dex goes out on a date, Matt teams up with Ray, and Foggy tells Karen his theory. Ray finds someone to help Dex with his reinstatement case while he and Matt snoop through Dex's apartment. Dex heads home and the two men escape but Dex shoots Ray. Nelson goes to an event involving DA Foster but realizing something, he quickly leaves. Karen goes to visit Fisk at the hotel and gets him all worked up but Foggy shows up in time to have her taken out. Dex burns his tapes before he is taken to see Fisk. Sister Maggie reveals through a spoken pray that she's Matt's mother. What?!?!
The titles of the episodes are also very good just like the show.
I knew that Maggie was Matt's mother, most of the comic readers knew,It is the first time I saw a superhero mother and son team-up.
