This was such a great return. This episode is mainly just drama, and barely has any action or thrills (with exception to a couple of scenes), but that's exactly the right way to start this season.
I love how Matt is not a superhero, and is just so human. This whole 'vigilante' alter ego isn't an expression of kindness. He does it for himself before doing it for others...and I love that. In fact, this entire episode felt human. We got a minor glimpse of that in Wilson Fisk in this episode too...but only for a short time, before the end credits has other plans.
This episode had a very morbid and helpless feel to it. I'm not a fan of Marvel but the likes of The Punisher, Jessica Jones (season 1) and Daredevil really do showcase what can be done with these storylines and characters. There's no need to hold back an R rating to appeal to kids.
Marvel has never been this mature.
I really hope the 3rd season of DD is better than the second seasons of everything else. I hate season 2 of JJ. Unhappy about season 2 Luke Cage and disappointed in season 2 Iron First.
Damn Charlie Cox is really amazing as Matt Murdock, his performance is top notch!

If I had to sum up a low and a high...
Low: No real explanation of how Matt survived Midland Circle? Really? That's disappointing.
High: Every time Sister Maggie spoke.
The friendship between Matt and the Sister was hilarious. She was about to kick his ass if he didn't change that attitude.
His going to come a lot stronger, I can see that.
An ok comeback. Matt struggling with his senses, his body, his faith, his alter ego. The character is so much more than Luke Cage or Danny Rand, really not in the same league.
A bit of an asshole here. Without speaking of the pain of believing him dead, Karen is ruining herself to save his place.
Fisk will be the villain again ? A bit disappointed in that. The character was good, but not the most interesting antagonist.
And they send an agent full of debt to deal with him ? Guess what will happen.
who the f sends an agent, who is at recruitment risk because of his poor finances, to the guy who bought half of people in the city and prison he is in. fricking retarded writing...
Following the events from The Defenders, we shift our focus back to Matt Murdock and see him resurrect from the dead. He is taken to the orphanage and cared for by the nuns. He reflects on his past as Daredevil and builds up the strength to begin training again and tests himself in the real world. Karen and Foggy come to agreement that it is time to move on and believe that Matt is dead. Fisk receives some bad news and decides he needs to find a way out of prison. We are introduced to a new character, FBI agent Ray Nadeem, who is dealing with Fisk's case and Fisk says he wants to make a deal with Ray.
I was waiting to watch it for such a longtime especially the intro.
Maggie is a cool nurse.
The whole idea of Mathew healing in a church was awesome.
Good start for the third season, we just don't know what happened to Electra yet!
Althought slow this was a great start for the season. I hope they built up a great third season and I already can't wait for Cox and D'Onofrio to get scenes together.
Coming from the Defenders, I'm glad that was only that awful because of what Drew Godard was subjected to. Here we are back into form and as good as ever.
it wasn't the first episode i expected for the series' final season for sure, but it's good to keep surprises and action for the future.

Matthew is such an intriguing and complex character. As heartbreaking as this was, I’m so glad we get to resume his story. Great premiere. So hyped for the season.
