Love Stick! Overall I think there is great casting in this series.
With the city believing the masked man is a criminal, Matt needs all the help he can get. Back on the scene is Stick, the blind fighter who taught Matt how to control his abilities and develop fighting skills. However, Stick is part of a larger organization who fights against the darkness, but with much different tactics, which Matt does not approve of, including murder.
Meanwhile, Foggy is brought into Karen's investigation with the reporter about who are the people behind her attempted murder, putting them on the same path as Matt.
Episode slows down to give us much needed backstory on Matt and how he learned to fight, along with setting up the foundation to push Foggy and Karen toward the path that will lead them to Matt's quest against Fisk.
Though it's interesting to see how Matt was lead to his current life, it does slow down the forward movement of the story to set up more exposition and groundwork, though this is much needed to move forward.
Definitely much slower-paced than the past episodes, espcially afetr the whole abandoned building and indirect confrontation with Fisk, but it gave much needed context to Mtt Murdock's transformation into Daredevil. Matt's relationship with this Stick character is really interesting, Stick, this hardened war-machine (after Jack's death) whose apart of this mysterious organization, chose to train Murdock into this super soldier being, preparing Murdock for this ominious war in the future but training Matt to control his abilities and fight. Whereas Matt, after losing the only person in his life, just wanted another father to care for and love him, with Matt growing this loving attachment to Stick, vieiwng him as a surrogate father who could teach him how to survive in this world with his abilities, and making him appreciate the powers he has. But, sadly for Matt, Stick wasn't looking to become a dad, all he viewed Matt as was as a future solider for battle, completelty showing no emotional love for Matt when he desperately needed it (him crushing the bracelet Matt made for him when they first met), and instead just abandoned Matt when he realized all Matt wanted was a dad (he claims, but i have a feeling he also wanted to protect Matt). Also, beyond that, Matt and Stick clearly have different ways of achieving their missions, with Stick seemingly having no attachment to the value of human life, willing to callously kill people for the sake of a mission, while Matt on the other hand refuses to ever cross that line, regardless of how difficult it'll make his life. And with todays' episode, we got a short little reunion between the two, as Matt was hot on Fisk's tail and Stick was on a mission to kill the Black Sky, this superpowered child, which Nobu (japanese leader from yakuza) was importing, with them going on a joint-mission. But of coruse, things couldnt stay well between the two, after Matt learned that Stick killed the child, they had a fight and Stick was kicked out. The saddest thing to me though was seieng the Stick actually kept the bracelet this whole time, indicating that Stick actually does care about Matt but is so in denial about how he actually feels about him. And man, watching Matt sit in his room, alone, in pain after kicking out Stick and seeing that bracelet was painful to watch. Also, regarding Karen x Ben, looks like they're really starting to piece together the case now, although they lack evidence, they're starting to connect the corrupt to the realtors, to United Allianc, and ultimately, to Wilson Fisk, the puppeteer of it all. Sadly though, they're starting to believe "the man in the black mask" is somehow apart of this corrupt circle, with even Karen slowly starting to doubt how noble Daredevil truely is. Also, seriously Mr Foggy is such a goated character, looks like he's now apart of the Karen x Ben team to expose the corruption in Hell's Kitchen, and man, seeing Foggy protect Karen from those thugs trying to shut her up just makes me love him so much. Also, I have a feeling this isnt the last were seeing of Stick, looks like the war thing is nearing closer, and Matt may end up being wrapped in it.
Before the last scene i thought ok he save the bracelet he is after all a goood guy XD
well well it was good to see more of Matt backstory to know how Sticks did help him out to become the hero he is today but did he really have to kill that kid. I get it he is the Black Sky but there is always hope to help people like him out and then that whole fight in the apartment between older Matt and Sticks wow i just wonder who that was that Stick was talking to at the end of the episode
Nice to find out how Matt learned how to fight.
With the title already we know that it will go the thing, the chapter as usual, good
You're a dick.
That's true... you got any beer?
Haha this Stick guy; his characteristics remind me of Caine from the 70s TV series, Kung Fu.
Emmy worthy work by Scott Glenn but they don't nominate performances that deserve it the most these days.

I've been enjoying the slow pace of the show in the beginning, but it was because the content was interesting. Not gonna lie it's getting a bit boring to me at this point. Hopefully it will improve.
