I wasn't sure if I would love or hate this episode.
Now I know.
Daisy and Jemma on drugs was totally unexpected and totally awesome, so much fun :D
This episode could have been written by the Legends of Tomorrow team...
The FUNNEST episode of AOS. A series highlight. Focusing on one task and a group of characters was a great creative choice from the writers. Great production values, too. Star Wars/Blade Runner vibes.
Just too damn silly. I had a hard time giving a 7 instead of a 6. At least she saw Fitz.
I also have an issue with the dudes coming after Fitz and then robot. Why is he out of time. This Fitz has not been to the future. He's only been in this timeline. It's all the other people who are "out of time". The Fitz that died was 90 years older than this one.
Awesome and funny episode. So interesting to see where AoS started and where it is now.
This is the best part of the show ever
Jemma and Daisy tripping was so funny
ITS LADIES NIGHT one of the funniest episodes ever
Superb episode wow! Glad to have this show back and wow chloe bennet really looks gorgeous in that new hair style lol
That was really hilarious. But even high on puffs, Daisy is badass. I love her!
This episode was absolutely hilarious.
“You’ve been under that gaming table for 20 minutes.”
That's not how planets work.
All of the acting.
Daisy and Jemma are amazing.
I've really been struggling to get into this season, and the first half of the episode was more of the same. Clunky writing and production values, definitely feeling like a stray step down from earlier seasons. Then halfway through, Daisy and Simmons start tripping balls in an alien casino while Fitz is bolted to a table for a literal to the death poker game. The dialogue and performances are hilarious. The wild camera work and editing perfectly done. Joel Stoffer is really growing Enoch into a character I'm loving. If they can lean more into this bounce and weirdness, instead of the clipped and awkward procedural delivery of the last two episodes, I'm hopeful I can get pulled back in.
Good episode, but the drug nonsense went on a touch too long for my tastes. Overall, this is shaping up to be much better than S5 was. The future stuff in S5 got so boring. Although, I will say there's only so long they can keep the alternate/fake Coulson and his gang's plans enigmatic. I hope they don't drag out the mystery for too much longer.
I like having Enoch around again. He's a fun character.
Oh man, this one was so much fun xD
Enoch and Fitz where already killing it and then Daisy and Jemma (aka. "my little British friend" <3) join the party as well. Enoch is a great character that can be very funny, both visually and auditory (IMO the actor is pretty amazing so far).
Poor Fitz Simmons though :o So close...
The funniest episode ever and so effortlessly! I love enoch and fitz’s friendship and daisy and jemma’s adventures. Chloe looks gorgeous with that hair style but Jemma doesn’t look great with her bangs :(
The music in this episode, was great.
Well, that was fun!
(Still don't like Gemma's haircut)

[8.7/10] I can’t remember the last time Agents of Shield has been this much fun. I rolled my eyes a little bit when I realized the whole episode was going to be set on Alien Las Vegas, but damn if the show didn’t turn this thing into one of the most enjoyable episodes the series has had in some time.
For one thing, I really like the pairing of Fitz and Enoch doing their buddy comedy routine. Enoch as the straightest of straight men, and Fitz as his disbeliving human counterpart, makes them the perfect foils for one another in a den of sin. There’s a lot of very palpable Star Trek influence on the show this season, particularly in the space-bound adventures, and so Enoch’s Spock vibe is right at home.
Enoch understanding odds and strategy but not people, and Fitz having a sense for the risk and the soft skills necessary to succeed but being totally lost when it comes to how to get along in this crazy planet make them nice compliments to one another here. While the whole “deadly blackjack” setup is a little much, the two of them trying to bluff and scheme their way into enough money to get a ship is a good goal that gives the pair a lot of good character moments.
I even like the semi-cheesy “you’re my best friend” schtick between the two of them. It’s a nice setup and payoff, with Fitz just sort of going along with it at first, but speaking sincerely to Enoch after his chronicom friend has lost his sense of purpose is a reasonably touching moment between them.
I also really enjoy the banter and camaraderie between Daisy and Simmons while high on alien shrooms. This show is so enjoyable when it cuts back on the speechifying and just lets the actors seem like human beings reacting to one another, even under bizarre circumstances. The two of them reminiscing about how much Daisy’s van smelled and how much Simmons misses Fitz and how much Daisy wishes she had her own Fitz and how they’re the best best friends is just capital-D Delightful.
Plus, the way the show gets creative visually in showing how the two of them are “tripping balls” and throws in the physical comedy and and Fear and Loathing homages to boot is great. We even get a cool fight scene with Quake which embraces the Drunken Master style “fighting under the influence” vibe.
The only things I didn’t really like in this episode were the disc-riding hunter chronicoms, which just seem like cheesy terminator knockoffs, and the fact that once again, the show gives us a FitzSimmons reunion just to rip them apart again. Otherwise, this is one of AoS’s best outings in ages, with fun and a surprisingly natural vibe for an episode set in an outer space casino.
(As an aside, I got an unexpectedly big laugh from the random thug telling Daisy and Simmons to “suck some calm.” Methinks the writers may have been on a few “puffies” themselves when they wrote that line.)
