I can see by the responses that the ending was not appreciated, by some, but have you not been paying attention? This ending was inevitable since season one, and we were told repeatedly, in the dialogue, throughout the series, that it would happen like this. In what world are all consequences lifted? The beauty was in the writing of these characters who we became so invested in.
well well well! that was quite unexpected string of events lol
The ending is a joke, right?
The writers brought Alice back for this? Seriously? What bullshit is this? I’m so disappointed by this season.
What a load of tripe, more overpaid white from the BBC,thankfully I haven't ever paid my TV license to those nonce employers!
fantastic ending =) . the way it was supposed to end.
Utter nonsense and inconsistentancy ahoy.......entertaining I guess but I hoped for better than this.

Like for real, what were the writers thinking? I think they should have left Alice to the past and rather gone much deeper into Jeremy's storyline, which now just seemed too empty and shallow. Or come up with something else, something fresher.
Almost every single "plot twist" and death on the season were predictable, and because of that they didn't seem very dramatic to me. Halliday's death came out of the blue but still.. was it really necessary?
To me, the season started really promisingly but ended up being just "meh". It wasn't too bad, but I just didn't enjoy it very much.
