this is a good solid story about a team of Russian soldiers fighting a losing battle against demonic insects the animation is gorgeous and there's some great action though I was hoping for something a little bit more epic and maybe something that tide in a little bit better

Felt like a video game cutscene. Impressive graphics, but nothing particularly interesting about the story.
A mixture of 'Metro 2033' and 'Doom' compared into one cut scene.

Excellent. Not only is graphic quality is top notch (characters, decors, light effects, etc), but the story is complete, including origin explanation. That's long feature material.

This feels like a very well animated video game with some extended cut scenes to explain bits and pieces of the story.
Don't get me wrong here, I mean that in the most positive sense. It would make for a great horror video game.
As a short film, it is fine I guess. It has some neat acting scenes and even manages to squeeze in the occasional semi-emotional character bit, but I also felt like something was missing. Definitely one of the shorts that did not benefit from being, well, a short.
