UPDATED 2024-01-19
Chronological order
(If you are new to MCU, then you should start with; Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk,
Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America and then Agent Carter.)
Includes:
Stark Expo 1974 - commercial for Stark Expo 1974 in Flushing Meadows in New York.
There are four different Stark Expo 2010 videos:
They take place during Iron Man 2 and you can easily find them by googling for them.
Peggy Carter’s 1953 Smithsonian Interview - Where Carter is being interviewed about Steve Rogers (can be found at youtube)
S.H.I.E.L.D spin-off mini-series Slingshot can be found at ABC's youtube channel.
Peter's To-Do List (Short Film - Spider-Man: Far From Home - Blu-Ray) - short extra clip when Peter is picking up his passport.
Novels:
(haven't updated the tie-in comics)
Marvel Cinematic Universe (#1-4) tie-in comics :
The Marvel Cinematic Universe, including movies, tie-in TV shows, and One-Offs, in fictional chronological order. The post-credit scenes in "Captain America", "Captain Marvel", and "Black Widow" have spoilers and should be watched in Release Order (after "Thor" & before "The Avengers", after "Ant-Man and the Wasp" & before "Avengers: Endgame", and after "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" & before "Hawkeye", respectively) instead of chronologically. I gave some wide margins of error on those boundaries, so that one would be able to fit in watching the post-credit scenes.
A Timeline with a chronological display of the events that happened in the different realities depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Includes:
•Movies From MCU
•Movies From X-Men
•Movies From Daredevil
•Movies From Spider-Men
•Tv Shows From The Defenders
•Tv Shows From MCU Cannon from Disney +
Reason why
Spider-Man movies are easy because No Way Home but for Into and Across the Spider-Verse is because of things they show in Across the Spider-Verse.
X-Men and Daredevil both of these is because of Deadpool and Wolverine the movie is not out by the time I made this so it might change but for now Elektra is to appear and I believe just a theory that the logan we see is from the new timeline from X-Men Days of Future Past.
Not Included because reasons I go into below
*Agent Carter Show
*Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
*X-Men: Apocalypse
*X-Men: Dark Phoenix
*The New Mutants
Reason why
Agent Carter Show and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not on this list is because Disney + hasn't made them cannon yet but has made The Defenders so when they make them cannon I will add them.
Why not theses X-Men movies well easy I think they break cannon to much like how does X-Men: Dark Phoenix lead into X-Men it doesn't.
I might make a MCU Expanded Timeline with some other movies as well but haven't yet like one with Agent Carter Show and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with also some other old marvel movies for fun.
Marvel Movies/Shows in chronological order
This is the ultimate watch order for MCU completists to watch events of the MCU play out in chronological order.
Movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe's phase 5 ranked by release date. Disney+ content included.
The order to watch MCU including the shows (trying to keep shows as full seasons, will only separate by episodes if necessary)
Marvel TV Series prior to Disney+ haven’t been confirmed to be canon yet. Might be referenced, but not a full continuation.
ABC's Inhumans is notoriously the worst Marvel TV show. It isn't referenced aside from a character's variant appearing in a multiverse.
Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3 as well as Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 are added in after Loki to show Variants of Spider-Man.
Agents of Shield originally was connected to movie events, but apparently that dropped off in later seasons. I’ll correct the list if/when I get around to watching past season 2.
2008-2012: Phase 1 - Iron Man (001-010)
2012-2015: Phase 2 - Iron Man 3 (011-068)
2016-2019: Phase 3 - Doctor Strange (070-120)
2020-2021: Phase 4 - WandaVision (121-145)
2022-202X: Phase 5 - Blade (146+)
