I don't remember it being this cringe... This was bad.
This was pretty awful. My expectations are very low going forwards.
Last season was bad and this season isn't starting to look good either. I can't even get past the first 10 minutes of this episode. Just filled with cliches from the get-go.
It reached Netflix survival niveau. Now the usual below average audience is served.
Once a while ago I decided for Netflix because of The OA or Sense8.
That level of ingenuity is long gone.
Apparently, I forgot many many things from the first season, and was clueless about a couple of characters. Would have been nice to see a proper and detailed "previously", because what Netflix has didn't really help. In any case, as others have mentioned here, this wasn't a strong start at all, more like a parody if anything.
What happened? Where did the good writing go? I know a second season needs to find a new story arch but they have taken the weakest characters, and least effective performers, to carry the role of the antagonist. This episode was bad. I hope they find their feet again. This series’ rating went from S1E10 a 9 (superb) to S2E1 a 4 (bad).
this episode is basically a teen romance and it's so boring, i hope that in the next episodes the sci-fi theme will be used more.
