1x05 Malivore

Considering Alaric and Dorian are both human, why can't they let Landon stay even if he's normal? They know he can't be compelled to forget, so there is obviously something supernatural about him. Plus he survived an entire busload of people burning despite the fact that he was sitting right in the middle. Doesn't it make more sense to keep him around and let him learn about things and make him loyal to you instead of having him float around somewhere in the world where he might tell anyone and might manifest who knows what powers in who knows what situations? Plus, isn't it called the 'honor' council because Alaric might listen to them when he makes decisions? Now they didn't even ask for his opinion before they sent Landon away.
And I get that Hope is afraid he might get hurt at school, but don't they have little children there too? If it's so dangerous, what about them?

The honor council scene made me really dislike Hope, in the moment anyway. I'll get over it but she can be awfully pissy. I know she thought she was doing the right thing but she's totally cut off from her heart and right now she has more in common with Haley and Alaric than Klaus. They further tried to get me to agree with her pov with that scene at the bus stop but I still don't. Also - spoiler- her getting a seat because she's the only tribid and wanted to vote on Landon? Cough. Alaric making an exception for her as usual.

Then they hand Landon knowledge of the supernatural world but no tools to deal with it. Maybe they should have a scholarship or intern program for hunters or regular people who stumble into the supernatural world.

WTF happened with the Zombie that was shown at the end of episode 04? They screwed the pooch on that one!
