This episode has an extended bit to say goodbye to "Old Man October" and to welcome "Baby November" in the way there's a New Years 'ritual' of putting the old year to rest and welcoming "baby new year". In this bit, Old Man November's monologue starts off relatively normal before slowly devolving into the absurd, rambling last words of a dying man.
After the commercial break, the beginning of the interview with TV's Frasure's Peri Gilpin is interrupted by a vulture swooping down to feast on the corpse of Old Man November.
George Takei's interview is filled with some vintage Shatner bashing for anyone interested in the longtime feud between the two.
Writer for this episode were Tom Agna, Louis C.K.sic, Ned Goldreyer, Michael Gordon, Brian Kiley, Marsh McCall, O'Brien himself, Brian Reich, David Reynolds, Andy Richter, Chuck Sklar, and Dino Stamatopoulos.

I'm pretty sure the vulture bit, if not much of the Old Month/New Month bit could be credited to Dino.
