I appreciated the focus on the NRA, not just because the show did what it does best when addressing these issues --zeroed in on a concrete, common sense way to make progress, but it also focused on the broader fact that it's not some conspiracy that keeps gun control legislation from advancing, just people on one side who are very committed to the cause and who get results because of it. That lesson was as notable as the specific regulations and topic discussed.

The Brexit stuff was interesting, and the bits about British people's reflexive disdain for Europe was amusing, but it was one of those times that you felt like you weren't quite getting the whole story. LWT is advocacy as much as it is entertainment, so it's no sin to focus on certain areas (the racist/xenophobic undertones being an important one), but it also felt like something big was getting left out. Could be totally wrong, just an intuition about the segment.

And hey, having a kid sing a profanity-ridden song to the tune of "Ode to Joy" is amusing in a perfectly juvenile sort of way. All-in-all, good stuff.
