I agree with the comments that this didn’t felt like a season finale, but like a mid season finale, I guess they were just given 8 episodes and they had to work with what they had and pray for a second season, so thankfully they got it! However I don’t think this Neil interaction was whatever, it obviously is gonna have a lot of implications and we have a lot to look forward for next season!! I’m a little mad we didn’t get to see Kevin without the sitcom filter, tho!
At first I was like yes Allison run away with Sam, but she’s right, she doesn’t need a knight in shining armor, or to be “saved” and become “more”, especially cause Sam is as fcked up as her, he doesn’t have a house, the dinner is his parents in law’s, so almost same situation.
And I also was like maybe she could leave him and go with her mom in the South Dakota/Carolina, but just like her aunt called Kevin, probably her mom would call him too and tell him she is there, or he would go and look for her there :/
I don’t have much to say cause overall this was good and a quality show, it’s sad it has bad reviews and poor ratings cause it’s genuinely good, I feel cause the average american is either a Kevin (a shitty husband/partner and shitty man- lets be real he would totally be a red hatter) or an Allison (trapped in a shitty relationship who wouldn’t want to watch herself) and then the younger millenials/gen z maybe don’t care that much about a marriage drama, but this is good! Annie and Mary Hollis are great! Can’t wait for season 2!!
