A decent shonen anime, but doesn’t live up to its hype imo.
Naruto Shippuden + Demon Slayer = Jujutsu Kaisen
Very interesting world so far with well built characters held by insane animation and intense fight sequences. One of the best shonens to release within the past few years (though there is a lot of gore and horror so it leans closer to seinen). The show is off to a great start, I'm just hoping it holds up.
Somehow it became really really boring to me.
season 2 is woooow epic episodes one after one
This review was written at the time of season 1, episode 14.
Jujutsu Kaisen is simply great. Loveable characters, beautiful animation, and great story. MAPPA really shows they are one of the greatest in the industry, they made these characters come alive and made me fall in love with them. The action scenes are super high quality and I hope it continues like that. I'm really excited to see where the story goes, overall really great!
This was one of the best anime of the past two seasons. From action scenes to lovable characters to both ugly-ass and smart villain; everything was very entertaining. Even though I don't like watching "Shounen" stuff, I really enjoyed this one.
Now I'm patiently waiting for the movie and hoping for more seasons.
The JJK anime hasn't even gotten to the good stuff yet
wow it's my favorite show from now.
Great show! How about season two?
I don't usually watch shounen animes so I was surprised how invested I found myself in the world. The characters were a lot more interesting than I expected. Gojo is the mainstream popular boy, but I found myself attached to characters like Nanami and Fushiguro. I didn't like Nobara as much in the beginning, but she came to grow on me as well. The backstory reminds me of other shounen like One Piece and it undeniably gives me some fond attachment to them. The animation is also well done, you can see there are a lot of different styles incorporated to match the storytelling and the character powers and concepts are interesting. It almost tries too hard to make them work out and one of the downsides of JJK is that it's hard to understand the powers and world on a first watch. I had Wikipedia open on the side to read more and buff my viewing my experience, and I still was confused at times about what the characters were talking about. However, they are smart. People aren't going to walk in and die for no reason, everyone will usually put up a good fight. While some powers seem OP, you also have great examples of people who utilize their wits like Maki and Meg to turn the tables to their advantage. I like that even though there are "grades" of abilities, you can see how users are able to still make an impact depending on how they use them like when Nobara was fighting Mahito and he underestimated her ability to hurt him.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a great anime to get into, especially with its second season. It's got everything - cool fights, deep stories, and awesome characters. The animation is defiantly up there, making every battle and magical moment pop off the screen. What really got me hooked was how the second season upped the ante on emotions and stakes, making the waiting weekly for a next episode tiresome, definitely a binge watch . It's definitely one of my favorite animes at the moment.
FUCK THIS ANIME AND FUCK U GEGE
season 2's animation could've been better, and i truly wish they'd give the animators more time, so many moments thrown away to janky types of animations, the hype behind this second season was far better experienced through manga edits on tiktok for what it's worth
either way, the opening was AMAZING. pure perfection and i couldn't skip it, not even once
also we straight up got baited with only 2 minutes of screen time for my boy Yuta and i'll be salty about that for ever
tf was that last episode? i'm lost, but ok
there were a lot of great moments, i can't deny that, it's still 10/10 for me, but also... 8/10?
Season 2 rated an 8
A great prequel to the original Jujutsu Kaisen show. It's even better with the 2nd season of the show coming out, and makes things even more intriguing.
I really love the action and story in this anime, and this is probably my favorite shonen anime I have watched. The action is so fun to watch and the characters are so unique and cool that I am also interested in seeing what happens next.
I really enjoyed this.
Looking forward to see how it progresses next year!
I honestly started watching this for Toji but I stayed for the amazing storyline and interesting characters. I am obsessed to the point of reading the manga after finishing the first season.
I even took a break from this anime because i didn't want it to end. I love it so much!
I just want to say "Splendid'

Jujutsu Kaisen is your typical cookie cutter shounen anime, your tropes are all present here. The character designs are cool and all but you won't really get an attachment to them. Characters die way too fast before you even have some sort of emotional connection to them, the battles are mindless and features lots of asspulls. The storytelling is whack, it's all over the place without any sense of direction at all. The power gap also isn't fun, characters just get stronger and stronger without any good reason, there's just no build up for everything on this anime, everything comes in a whim.
