Well, I'll be darned if "Joe Pickett" ain't the best dang show I've seen in a coon's age! This here show's got everything - cowboys, guns, and more dead bodies than a possum in a snake pit. And let me tell you, Joe Pickett is one tough hombre. He's like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood rolled into one, with a little bit of Hank Hill thrown in for good measure. But don't let that fool you - Joe's got a heart as big as a hay bale, and he'll do anything to protect his family and his town. Speaking of his town, it's like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. It's got all the charm of a Main Street parade, with none of the boring parts. And the writing? Well, let's just say it's sharper than a brand new pocket knife. The dialogue is so good, you'll be quoting it to your friends and family faster than a hot knife through butter. And the bad guys? They're like something out of a Stephen King novel. They're creepy, they're crawly, and they're meaner than a wet hen. But don't worry, Joe's got a few tricks up his sleeve. Whether you're from the Midwest or just like to pretend you are, "Joe Pickett" is the perfect show for you. So grab a beer, sit back, and enjoy the ride. Yeehaw!
Just finished season 1 and really enjoyed it. Good action, acting, and suspense. Can't wait for season 2.
Decent show, I have seen several of these actors in other shows with much better acting. Storyline is a bit far fetched, especially the treatment of the main character, if you know the true authority of a game warden. Predictable but enjoyable.
show is decent, but the main character can't fight and can barely shoot. gets beaten up way too much by some of the weakest characters on the show. Writing can be tough to listen to most of the time. Not sure how this got two seasons other than its rare to have a show focus on a game warden. 6/10 at best

I’m here for season 2. I wasn’t sure at the beginning of season 1 if I was going to like this show. It got better. And I’m still watching. Basically it’s a story about a game warden who bumps into lots of criminals. And while the criminals think they can get around the mild mannered warden, ole Joe Pickett has other ideas. It’s not the greatest show you’ll ever see but it’s a fun and interesting binge.
I'm not sure why I'm enjoying this as much as I am. It's just well done. I'm assuming that they're adapting the individual books it's based on into seasons because they're plotted more like books than a television show. Good solid television.
Just finished Season 1. This seems to fall somewhere between Ozark and Virgin River. For a second it’s all cutesy and PG and then dark as hell!
I didn’t realize it was based on a series of books, I might have to check them out.
It’s slow in spots, but man did it pickup mid season. Great casting and storylines. It’ll be interesting to see how they start off season 2!

Great show based on a great series of books. They changed things around a bit but they did a super good job. It’s not very often that I like a show as much as the books it is based on. Now that Season 2 has come out I’m rewatching Season 1 and it’s just as good the second time around. If you like the great outdoors this show is for you. Dang if I could do it over I’d love to be a game warden. Update: Season 2 is not great - sniff, sniff...
