In terms of the big picture, it's extremely unlikely that anything good will come from Major's realization regarding the identity of Renegade 2.0. On the Isobel front, props to Ravi for everything that he's doing for the girl as they bond during all of their time together, both in terms of his medical research and the dad-ish stuff. Isobel teasing him and encouraging his worst fears with regard to her big date were as endearing as his dad-like concerns for her virtue. But best of all in this one was a great meta moment in which Ravi critiques an in-show zombie show and says, "Oh, no. It's the crap episode of Zombie High where it's clear the show ran out of money, so everything cool happens off-screen, and the characters just talk about it afterwards." And immediately afterwards, Clive relates a story to Liv about his recent activities -- activities that had taken place off-screen. That was a terrific and subtle bit of humor right there. And hopefully not something that's based on reality.
Can somebody please kill Major already? He's literally the worst character ever.
Was great to see yet another actor from Rob Thomas' previous shows - in this case, Enrico Colantoni. These little cameos make me so happy.
and following the upswing from last episode is this "Homage to cop movies" episode. Homages are obvious which is the point but this one keeps the characters intact unlike the homage you might find on Community (which to be fair to that show was the point. The characters were only there to be broken apart in lampshaded homage after lampshaded homage)
A very tight reign keeps this episode fun and well paced never losing itself to the movies it's trying to pay tribute to. While it was fun seeing Enrico working with Rob Thomas again this week's brain (Cop who doesn't play by the rules aka Maverick Cop) worked well and worked with the story. Which involves someone close to Liv being in danger. A betrayal. The advancement of the Brother Love storyline and Blane begins to take a surprising role. Honestly the strangest part about Brother Love is that it appears he will not ever realize he was being tortured in a well by his son instead by all indication he's literally lost his mind and is not going to discover this and rage out. This episode shows him buying in even deeper.
Major is imo one of the most interesting characters in this farce of a season because he's basically right and noone is addressing this. The show keeps showing Filmore Graves as the bad guys but honestly they aren't and it's due to the firm hand of Chase Graves and all we see of Major Lilywhite. It doesn't make sense to run an underground railroad to make people zombies because there's already a food shortage. This entire arc has become increasingly frustrating because the only people properly concerned about how to maintain and feed a population of immortal always hungry hoard are the big bad military who never abuse their power they just enforce it.
Our new character Isabol is precocious and charming. She's new but I'm pretty invested in her. I don't hope she lives because that'd be cheap but I hope she gets a good storyline that she deserves.
I know nothing of the finale, but I see two predictable plot points on the way: 1) Levon’s camera was an obvious problem from the get-go. It’ll reveal that Liv is Renegade. 2) Liv will of course end up on the guillotine, and will obviously be saved somehow. Probably by Major.
I hope these are wrong and I end up being surprised.

In terms of the Liv storyline I do not particularly care at this point anymore.
Either way it goes awfully wrong and some major characters will (have to) bite the dust.
However, I reaally, really enjoy the Ravi and Isobel scenes.
The actors have great chemistry together and I like seeing Ravi turning into a father figure for her in his own goofy but endearing way.
Isobel gives the Ravi character room to shine and be on screen with his antics. While there is still room for him on screen without Isobel I feel he got pushed more into the backround since Liv, Payton and Major went those critical storyline routes.
In a way that he turns into a goofy sidekick. That does this amazing if not best character on the show a disservice.
