Some of the best improvised comedy in all of tv here. I can’t believe rob going to kiss Glen was improvised that was hilarious and the “I don’t think he gets us man” is one of the funniest moments and funniest bloopers in the whole show.
[5.8/10] Ehhhhhh. I get what IASIP is going for here, as it revisits its “The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis” episode and any number of its former, semi-successful and/or controversial bits. But I’m a sucker for meta humor and this did little-to-nothing for me. It felt more like a confession of creative exhaustion than something that actually found the humor or put on a new twist on the old tricks.
There were a few decent bits, like the guys’ barbershop-esque song or Frank and Dee’s well-informed discussion of an intricate set of gay subgroups, but largely this was It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia eating its own tail and not digesting anything new. Even if that’s self-conscious, the results are neither clever nor entertaining.
