Yep, just as bad as expected from a female reboot. Perfect satire, but very hard to watch as a result.
I think the men are missing the point that this episode was supposed to be a SATIRE and even Artemis is like this isn’t working and that’s exactly the point of this episode, that this doesn’t work and that women deserve to have their own stories and that people will always hold anything “all female” to a higher standard than the all male version. Also the original boggs or whatever episode wasn’t good but no one complains.
This gave me bridesmaids vibes and that ending with the moms was cool, they are like the most dysfunctional pairing ever but also the cutest.
Puke and poop jokes? Really?
lmao the comments just proving misoginy lol. so many other bad eps but never seen this much hate for another...
IASIP has been pretty remarkable in that so many seasons have passed without any truly awful episodes. At last it loses that distinction, with this hideous nonsense. It was an episode with nothing to say, and made no effort to be anything other than the broadest of broad (no pun intended) with zero subtext, wit or humour.
I think this possibly marks the point where a world without any more Sunny would be preferable to one where this sort of crap can sully the reputation of a once great show.
Olson's performance went a bit too far for me. Not a bad idea, but execution didn't work for me.

[8.7/10] This was so much fun. Like Artemis, as excited as I was to see IASIP turn over an entire episode to its female characters, I was a little reticent about the show just rehashing a prior episode. But I needn’t have been, because while this one definitely uses the prior Wade Boggs episode as a base, it manages to be its own thing, while riffing on the very concept of an all-female reboot in delightful ways.
First off, it must be said -- Artemis stole the show here. Between her being the conduit for the episode’s critiques of women-led reboots, and her selling GOOP-esque spiritual nonsense for a quick buck, and her pulling off the “they never expect the gross out humor from women!” routine at the end, she was on fire throughout.
I also liked all the supporting characters. Ms. Mac was amusing as usual with her endless not-give-a-fuckery. Ms. Kelly was hilarious with her own backwards views (to the point that she panics over having two female pilots.) The Waitress trying to break Dennis’s “record” and the secret to her success being that “she’s an alcoholic” is the kind of dark humor the show does well. And even the self-referential cameo from Frank was well done. Plus, oh man, the waiter from Guginos! He, and his polite but incredulous attitude is always welcome on the show as far as I’m concerned.
But Dee (and Kaitlin Olson) as expected, carried this thing, and made it great. Her perseverance through this nonsense, and desire to make it work despite the challenges of her compatriots and the difficulties of her mission was admirable and funny. Her conversations with Martina Navratilova (and once again Boss Hogg) were great. And leading things to a feud between her and Gail the Snail was an inspired direction in which to escalate things.
And man, the episode had some really good commentary. You had the trenchant observation that guys’ drinking gets to be fun and carefree while women’s drinking is viewed as sad and shameful. You have Martina’s speech about “growing the sport” talking about how competitiveness is good on the field, but not a luxury underrepresented groups have off of it. And you have the general gags that feel like they come from a knowing place of tons of different little things women have to face.
Overall, this is another big win for IASIP, managing to balance story, humor, comedy, pacing, and commentary in a superb way.
