Bloody hell. That was brutal!
it starts off with the way you expect it but then the climax wow! talk about brutal! its gonna be a big hit also having read this comic I am excited for whas to come!
The first 40 minutes consist pretty much of the deadly serious superhero stuff I just can't be excited about anymore (shows moving along the tone of Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn and Legends of Tomorow grow on me much more easily), and the last 5 minutes felt unnecessrary graphical and only for pure shock value. Maybe I give it another shot as most of the ensamble (voiceover) cast were not here yet, but so far, this is not for me.
This is everything I’ve dreamed about this show becoming since I first read it. Thank you guys for not holding back.
how does an animated superhero show manage to be better than every live action one currently on tv? because this show is awesome after only the first episode
Woo , Just what was that , that ending !!

Review
Even though I knew the twist, it was still shocking. Jeez louise, that was crazy. I really like this episode! The premise is pretty cool and I'm excited to see where this goes next!
SCORE: 8/10
It took me two days to watch this show cause I was just not that interested in the first half — I couldn’t really tell what the hype was about. AND THEN on that faithful second day when I got to the end and literally had my mouth agape for the whole last 10 minutes. What an interesting show that almost lost me.
Whoa... I mean, seriously. Goodness.
[spoilers] I think ive watched that final scene like 20 times now. Holy hell it's so well animated [/spoilers]
Very cool first episode.
But, what in the world was that ending?!!?
wha- im speechless, was not expecting that...
"you dont have to be the greatest omni-man ever. you just have to be the greatest you"
I was about to declare this episode a snoozefest (like most superhero movies/shows lately) till the last 5 minutes of carnage. It was an awesome twist in the storytelling which made me yearn to know more in the forthcoming episodes.
-didn’t read the comic/book-
had high expectations but watching that ep I was confused & like whats that happy inspirational crap, I thought it was dark and fun?? this is completely different than I thought?
ah, there it is.
got me in the first half ngl:joy::joy:
It was all blissful until that brutal ending!, caught me off guard!
I’m not much of a superhero guy. I watched and liked The Boys and this seemed similar in tone so I decided to give it a shot. I was bored throughout the episode and had pretty much decided this show wasn’t for me… until the end. I think I’ll see where this goes now. Lol
Ok.... What a hell of a ending of episode...
AYO WHAT THE FUCK ????? WAS THAT?!?
Oh wow. Why? What an unexpected twist after I thought the episode has ended .
So Darkwing just left those 2 guys hanging out there before he answered the call. They probably dead by now ;)
Color me intrigued... let's hope there's more to this "subversion":asterisk_symbol: than mere shock value or gore or grittiness.
:asterisk_symbol:though this take on superheroes is so hip among streaming services that it's not even subversion anymore.
Great first episode. Slow start but we’ll worth the watch!
I was thinking the whole episode "The bell am I watchin this fraud!?" but the last 3 minutes amazes me and totally worth the whole episode.

Even though the first episode can drag on a bit and be a bit cliché at first, it really shines later on. The series has a very intriguing story and keeps you hooked from the end of the first episode, all the way through to setting up for future seasons.
It's a cool take on superheroes and what it would actually mean if they were real, kind of like The Boys, but more hopeful and more personal story at times. Invincible focuses more on the family side and the trust, struggles, and inevitable tragedy it means to be a superhero.
Wow. Starts like any other Superhero origin story but that ending did i not expect.
I think I don't need to watch The Boys anymore. I'm hooked.
This episode was great even before the final scene. Wow.
OK this show is pretty nice, I wonder w- WHAT THE FUCK
I never read the comic, but if its anything like the show, I think I'm going to have to check it out. It's got a great voice cast and I really like the 2D traditional approach to animation, as opposed to a more stylistic design choice that one might find in other animated projects. This one's definitely a keeper.
This is a fantastic start for the show and seeing how fucking bonkers the comic is it's only going to get better from here on out.
Crap, and I thought, "The Boys," was dark. What kind of Alien coming of age BS is this leading into?
well, that was a bloody good show

Wow, I don't get shocked all that much but that ending was definitely shocking. Amazing first episode.
