9.5/10. Kind of the platonic ideal of a sitcom episode. It has a well-observed detail about how friends and romantic partners relate to each other, and it not only dramatizes that in an incredibly creative way, using both flashbacks that excise the annoying characteristic, but also using sound effects like the glass breaking or Lily's chewing noises to really emphasize the peccadilloes. The episode not only builds and builds, with more and more of those "spoiler alerts" that fit perfectly with one another, but it 1. ties back to something we've seen from Barney before the episode; 2. leads to a ridiculous brick joke with Barney and the "ca-ca spaniel"; and 3. organically leads into the resolution of the story (Marshall losing his password) that kicks off the whole damn thing and manages to lead to a satisfying emotional conclusion to boot! It's an incredibly tightly-written episode filled with great humor, creativity, and realistic-if-outsized depictions of how friends interact with each other. Pretty damn great!

My favorite episode so far! Never thought that pointing out each other's bad habits would make a great storytelling like this episode. Watching this is just sooo fun, until we realize that the fights were just temporary and all we waiting for is Marshall's password.

Marshall's habit, as annoying as it may be once you acutely realize it, is pretty useful. If he didn't that habit, the password wouldn't have been found or remembered.
