What an underwhelming ending. The whole season felt odd. The viewer could clearly tell that the writers had to improvise and that this wasn’t what they had originally planned. What a shame.
What? Did that really just happen? Is that really how this ends? What a terrible ending. My lord. This was bad. To think that I once considered this show to be the best show on television.
The writing this season was just not good at all. Claire's pregnancy made no sense and was stupid. Doug killing Frank made no sense, because Doug would never have done that, no matter the reason. What happened to believability? Why was Doug allowed to just come and go from the White House as he pleased? Why is it that Claire once had a panic attack and freaked out over the thought of her abortions becoming public knowledge, but now in this season, she barely bats an eye? Why did Claire start becoming the fricking anti-Christ? What the hell was going on?
As bad as this ending was, there was one thing I did like, and it was the parallel to the very first episode of the show. I enjoyed Claire using Frank's words.
Expected a lot more from this ending, which isn't really an ending at all. Couldn't help but find some parallels in the writing about Francis Underwood that could very well be about Kevin Spacey but I guess that's something that could be said about all "bad people".
Didn't quite get the satanic angle that appeared at one point of the other. Almost made it seem like Claire was becoming the Antichrist... but then it ended... 5 episodes too early and now we'll never know.
This episode and almost all of the rest of this season makes no sense.
The minimum rating allowed here should be 0 and not 1. Only for this episode.
Wow this was awful, the whole season 6 was terrible and made no sense at all. Worst of all was the ending - seriously? Killing Doug in the Oval Office? What a nonsense!
I hated everything in this season and it used to be my favourite show.
OMG, is that the real end to this great show?
Am I fucken dreaming?!! That is it?!!
I wish that I haven't watched this season, it disgraces the whole series :( :( :(
Some people really couldn't get over Frank's loss, right? This season wasn't the best it could have been, more 5 episodes could have rounded it up a bit better, but circunstances were as they were and the show did its best to handle in 8 episodes a sudden and enormous plot change, create another one and do it with grace - The whole "Saving the legacy from the man" thing was very clear pointed out to Spacey itself and it felt... important and meaningful to the series - the whole season was about everyone plotting against Claire and her ability to be ruthless in order to overcome them and secure her power as commander in chief - be it for good or for bad, she alienated everyone around her to have pure, unrestrained power and didn't care abou any of the consequences - she was stone cold even more than Frank was, a manipulative, calculated sociopath and a great character alltogether. Killing Doug in the Oval Office wasn't the best ending at all, but I felt it was a rather symbolic one, more than logic itself. Good ending to a great show - could have been more, but it was fair enough.
I'm just happy this shit has ended. The whole 6 season was a complete nonsense and I felt nothing while watching, just constantly "I don't give a fuck". They just did a parody season after real show ended. Frank Underwood is gorgeous, without him this show ain't worth your time. I'm devastated.
All they did in previous seasons here became grotesque. Everyone look into the camera breaking 4th wall and I just don't feel comfortable with this shit. And the script... oh, it's so bad, that I wish I will forget everything I saw in that season. I'll better imagine another continuation by myself than to remember what these assholes had written. I'm unsatisfied at all and don't recommend it to anybody
it would ended in season 5, this finale season is a pure shit!!! no one deserves this,doug,seth,cathy,petrov.... #UNDERWOODFOREVER
The last season and certainly the last episode can be seen as a requiem for a show that couldn't recover from the fatal wound of loosing its main character.
This is not what you want to see at the end of this cool show! There where 5 amazing seasons, was looking forward to season 6 to see how it would be without Frank Underwood.. And then this happens... How can you ruin a amazing show with 8 episodes... The 6th season started ok, but really lost it's power every episode.
What dumb effing ending. The whole season made absolutely no sense. Claire's pregnancy, the shepherds, the shepherd kid being adopted, it was just a mess. I watched this whole season longer than I've watched the whole show. In as much as I applaud Robin Wright for being dope, Kevin fucked us. Seriously dudes, keep it in your pants.
Well, that was disappointing... I won't judge, 'cause I know it's the best they could improvise without Spacey, but boy oh boy was that bad
Well... I guess they had to do SOMETHING without Spacey, but after watching this mess of a final season it would have been better if they hadn't done anything at all.
"THAT'S IT?!"
My reaction, just now as the credits roll.
FUCK THE WRITERS OF HOUSE OF CARDS S06. They should never get hired for another writing job.
Thank god it's over.
What an absolute joke. I used to really enjoy this show. Waited a few years before deciding to watch this season and getting it but wow. Unbelievable.
This final episode and the final season in general was a huge disappointment. What a horrible and totally senseless ending. What was the point of it all?
Man, what a terrible ending, worse than Game of Thrones. The producers could do a lot better with Robin, what a shame.
Doug: It isn't going to end how you think
Ain't that the truth
The only thing I have to say: I'm glad they didn't kill Claire Hale Underwood.
Mexican soap opera,,,, why do this to frank memories ?
I don’t know, it hurts!
VERY VERY BAD ENDING!!
As i expected from the first of this season it will be a very awful without his big star Kevin spacey, i found what i waited for! Netflix has destroyed it's first and big show so easily! so, well done Netflix! it's very sad to watch this bad season and bad ending as well. REST IN PEACE FRANK!
Well... That was a big fat nothing burger...
Hate to admit but this season was horrible. It should have ended with season 5. Plus I really hated Claire for the past couple of seasons.
This ending was so rushed and poorly done. It completely left questions unanswered. WHAT WERE THEY THINKINGGGGG!!!??
ok this is a bit corny, but i watched this episode with a glass of wine. The first time i watched HoC was a good few years ago, in mid-2016 before the Spacey controversies came to light. The wine served me as a companion, or something to ease the nausea of rewatching this episode and rethinking my excitement about having an entirely Claire-focused season where both Claire and Robin Wright could feel more explored. I sincerely enjoyed the interpolation between the last minutes/seconds of the episode and the first scenes of the pilot episode and the conclusion of the BBC's miniseries, which it's the basis for this one. But to be honest? Thank them that it's over, without any more anguish for the long 50 minutes of this final stretch. There, no more pain.
I didn't hate this season as much as everyone else, but this final episode was really bad. Terrible ending to a great show overall.
So many loose endings... they shouldn't have bothered with this season. Spacey made it great.

What a bad ending to this once great show... This season made no sense at all.
