Rike actually only wanted to return to her family's riding stables in Bavaria for her father's funeral. She has been living in the USA for years, where she trained as a wild horse trainer. On site, however, Rike has to realize that the farm is on the verge of collapse due to mismanagement by her older brother Ferdinand.
For the first time, Rike asserted herself in her family. From now on she will be in charge of the Wildenstein Riding School. Of course, Ferdinand doesn't put up with that and threatens to take away her best and favorite horse from Rike: Jacomo.
