God, Carrie is annoying. Every other scene she either has crazy eyes, is crying, or both.

This episode is not even on the level of a soap opera.

This show is good despite Carrie's insanity, not because of it. She's always been my least favorite character, which is unfortunate because she's the protagonist.
Near the beginning of the episode, running to catch Nazir, Carrie tripped over a dramatic device (i.e. nothing) and fell on her face, just to raise the tension. I thought that was amusing.
When that tac team leader decided to go into Nazir's secret hideout by himself after the whole episode up to that point had made this huge deal about tac teams working in pairs, I found that contrived as all hell. Why did he do that, except for dramatic convenience? (Of course he ended up dead because he didn't follow procedure.)
It's really too bad that Nazir wasn't taken alive. That closed a lot of good possible story lines for later seasons, but since Nazir is the Homeland universe's second coming of Osama bin Laden, he had to wind up dead.
