I just finished watching episode 9 and was going to say what I thought was going to happen in this episode based on what they said at the end of episode 9. Ramsay told Ben and Richard to both take off their jackets, and also said that he is going to do something that hasn't been done before, so I wanted to comment before watching episode 10 and say that they are getting their black jackets but I would blur it as to not ruin it for anyone else. Yeah, then I see the damn thumbnail (screenshot) for this episode and it shows them wearing the black jackets! Why do they have to spoil the episode or the show by putting obvious spoilers in the thumbnails? Assholes.

Real rough day and night with Gio there, with the way that he was clearly pissed during the truck unloading punishment and being made to chase a guy down for an error that never was, plus making an oopsie with Ramsay's "dickface" right at him, which probably flustered him to the point of making that even bigger oopsie with Robert's hand when he tried to grab his hot pan that he put right into the fridge. At the same time though, should Andrea have walked out that front door anyway against Jean-Philippe's advice? Debatable. But in any case, Gio bombed out hard tonight, while Andrea has been more of a trend of mistakes over multiple episodes, and the same can be said of Ben too (though he clearly did well in this one). Kinda surprised that he didn't get given the J or Lacey treatment by Gordon, especially this late into the season where he didn't hesitate to do the same with Josh from season 3. Though it's equally cocky on Andrea's part to have just gone right back in line after Giovanni walked out. She should be careful.
I'll admit, they had me in the first half with the elimination-that-wasn't at the start that turned out to be "take your jackets off..because you're now one team!". Ben's been on that block a fair bit, I'm sure he went "here we go again" when Danny said he was the worst of the bunch. But are they about to pull another fast one when Gordon announced that Hell's Kitchen is closed? Hmm.
