Although there has to be a lot of exposition, most of it is done well and ties in well with the events and the overall plot, leaving certain events without deeper exposition and therefore sparking interest in the viewer to continue watching the series. However, the exception being the cold open, and how Bohannon knew to be in the confessional to ambush the Union soldier and track down Daniel Johnson on the end of the railroad line. It is supposed to be 1865, how could Bohannon have tracked all those men down so easily?

Great start to the series.
