Eh, the buildup is a bit boring for a series finale, isn't it?
Finally towards the end the show gets good again, the 1st season was amazing but it has been slow and boring, not the shocking thing we're used to from Hannibal.
Poor Chilton! they didn't get enough fun from distorting his face for two straight season, so they burnt his whole body.

Holy crap that was some fun, disturbing stuff
In this second to last episode of the series it finally picks up some steam again after a slightly disappointing second half of the season. Weirdly this episode didn't feel as virtous as the other episodes of this supposedly last season of Hannibal and it doesn't feature as much beautiful cinematography and interesting editing as most of the other episodes. But the character of the Red Dragon get's a certain type of rawness to him as his actions aren't presented as virtous and flashy as other and thus seem much rougher than those of other antagonists of the series. A really great set up episode for the last ride of a series which didn't deserve it's cancelation quality wise.
It was funny and creepy but a bit slow. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Hannibal

That Chilton / Great Red Dragon scene was disgusting to say the least.. At least he can still talk :'). Boy did he look burned. Another great, creapy episode.
