How did they THINK Adalind was going to react? Did they expect her to just go, "Oh, well, my baby's gone. Time to hit up Vegas!"?

Why would they even go to Monroe's house, knowing Adalind was there? Why not just call Monroe and have him meet them? So much time gets wasted in this show because people go out of their way to visit someone instead of making a quick call or text...
