This might be one of my favorite episodes overall.
I think it’s quite similar to the one where Bailey, Arizona and Jo went to that women’s prison. It is refreshing to see familiar faces get tested on unfamiliar places and under unpleasant circumstances.
But then, this episode tackles Meredith’s trauma with the plane crash and Derek’s death and those two moments were at its best, drama wise. We all know Shondaland thrives through trauma, so this one was a pleasing surprise.
And I’m a sucker for flashbacks too.
OMG!!!
So many feelings!!!
Those damn flashbacks..
I get it. Is hard for Meredith to let him go.
Their love was unique.
Let's see how things go now.
Wow!
I'm pretty sure I yelled "Come On" when Max went up there.. I was actually expecting an other crash.
With Mer 'dancing it out' in the previous episode and her history with planes, I was ready to ask Shonda if she was having a laugh with us...
But this episode was actuality really good.
She was cute with that child, she nailed it with that misogynistic guy and she slayed it with that surgery (she put a f*cking staw in a man's brain!)
I kinda wish they'd send her off to the field for a couple of episodes instead of Kepner.. (or instead of having another baby..)
But she's grown up anyway.. She finally admitted that she loved her sister (Lexi). I like that the writers made her more mature now. She's not afraid of having family anymore.
“They call us the Seattle Grace 5. Six of us went up, only 5 of us came back. Only 3 of us are alive now.”
Mark..
And Derek.
I can see it now. The entire episode was a eulogy to Derek.
The fearlessness, the classic love triangle with an almost doctor and a skilled and kinda handsome surgeon, the sex in a tight spaces, the flashbacks..
Sometimes I kinda forget that this is the 13th season.
This show still surprises me.
I just hope they won't ruin it.
Anyway.. Well done people.
Very well done!!
this episode gave me like 10 anxiety attacks
This season has some random episodes...
Those flashbacks about broke me. I get so nervous about planes on Grey's now. The episode was well done and though Riggs annoyed me at the beginning of it - badgering her, I was reminded why I liked him by the end. I still don't like that they've hammed up his hair this season to be 'McDreamy'esque but Meredith deserves happiness. She is a powerhouse though. Wowzers.
Mer, you shouldn't let go of Derek for Riggs. He's an asshole and doesn't even come close to being good enough for you. I haven't liked him from day one.
I feel like the writers are belittling Derek's memory and minimizing the epic love story that is MerDer by pairing Meredith with Riggs.
The worst decision this show ever made was killing Derek off in such a meaningless, cheap way. I'm still hella pissed over that.
Those kind of episodes remind me why this show is so long ...
riggs’ hint of a new zealand accent :star_struck:
they made it sound like there's only one pilot flying, what about the co-pilot? come on, common sense people.. rhonda seems to be running out of ideas. i also think that Riggs being anxious about twisting a syringe to a needle is laughable. seriously? you can do it in a second. wrong posture during chest compression.. that's all I saw..
Best episode of the season. Loved it soooo much!
