Great start for the series opening up a number of questions while introducing a pretty full cast with a lot of history. So very nice to see another Western. Let's hope they continue to do right by the genre.
This first episode was very promising. Dark, dirty and gritty western setting with an interesting story and good acting.
kinda agree with some review down here... I want more mimutes for the women characters
@abstractrals, dunno which pilot you watched mate as you definitely don't get to meet many "strong female characters" in this one. When you create a femcentric trailer like this one, teasing a show centered around the ladies of La Belle, and it is merely the background for the main storyline, yeah nah. False advertising. If the show had been in line with the final scene, I'd be so stoked. You're entitled to your opinion, but understand it's a let down to come to a show promising a "no mans land" and have women speak less than 30% of the time in the first episode.
Finally, a great western series. Been kinda dry since Deadwood.

Netflix showcases this series as a femcentric one, yet first episode doesn't even pass the Bechdel test. Trailer made me super stoked for it, but a hard pass unfortunately.
