I guess the show has improved once they moved onto episodes relating to individual ghosts. It's still not a particularly funny show but it has some charm... yet I'd prefer a show with charm and more laughs. The historian was played well and if the show didn't have that underlying sitcom vibe I might have been more amused. As a comedy it ends up being more touching.
