I love the cellar cholera ghosts so much. It's such a great touch to add just the slightest pinch of actual creepiness to a show that's deliberately removed all the scares from its very traditionally spooky premise.
Show Is defiantly getting better and I am glad Thor didn’t get “sucked off” lol
The ghosts telling on Jay whenever he ate all of something and lied about it. Were the funniest moments of this episode.
Oh wow, they're already moving away from the original. I'll give them props for that.
Humor is still a little on the nose, but the show isn't as bad as I thought.
Not an especially funny show but somehow pleasant enough and watchable. I feel like I should find a better, less forgettable show to spend my time on.
To many shows force their liberal politics on in such disappointing ways and a show like this just makes it way to obvious. Thor speaks with a viking-ish accent, and other period characters have period specific accents but Sasappis talks with a modern American accent. Based on his costume and comments he made to Isaac, it seems he is from around Isaac's period. I guess it would be somehow offensive for him to speak with a period native America accent of any kind so they chose to make him the odd one out. At least the feminist story elements fit more with the characters periods, even if a little out of character for both.
On the other hand there is a point where Sam is talking to Jay and refers to a ghost in the room. When he says thank you to the ghost, Sam says, "They say your welcome" to which Jay replies, "'they', there's two of them?" but as a modern liberal minded guy he should assume they she is using the word "they" as a gender neutral pronoun.
It is not time for Thor to be sucked off!

Three episodes in this show is different but not different enough from the UK original. Rose McIver has a pretty solid reputation in SFF and I might keep watching because her and Utkarsh are both individually amusing people. The show is just a bit too reductive to carry itself. All the subtlety of the UK show seems to be tossed out.
