I had never watched the first season. This is going to be great!
A good starting for this series, the characters are well introduced. Not a masterpiece, but Matt Groening knows how to do an animated comedy.
Probably one of the most solid TV pilots of all time. Does a great job of setting up the main cast and the world in a way that feels natural and really gets you excited for the rest of the show. It is dragged down a bit by a somewhat rushed feeling third act, but the rest is to good to really care all that much. Very happy with the beginning, hoping this show keeps it up.

It was a great opening to the show, I love how we got an insight on how Fry’s old life used to be, verses how his life will be in the future. Also, cool to see the other characters getting introduced and how there personalities are very different. Great humor, and I already know Bender is going to be favorite here on out. (Spolier) The irony of the suicide booth is pretty insane due to how it is a big picture in today’s society. Overall, great start!
