The series started good but now, episode 5, it became soooo boring
The priest definitely hid her with some bullshit religious reasoning like an idiot. Always got to look out for the religious ones
He seems shady too, the more you watch the more people you know is doing some shady shit
This does come off as sort of a placeholder episode, however, there WERE several introspective moments as well as key plot advancements. Cray Cray girl is finally revealed to be cray cray, (with a possible termination with extreme prejudice of a former paramour) The barkeep invokes Schrodinger's Cat, which causes an "ah ha" moment with Jade. Mom finally postulates the most obvious question, which we have all been wondering. Cray cray girls brother is sent to the cornfield for his bad thoughts, and worse betrayal of the dark sides most favored daughter. The Sheriff is inspired to do more than chillax and try to make the best of a bad situation. Hopefully he finds a way to get them all home, but, I don't recall seeing any large bodies of water, other than the river, which may explain the "sign" he received on the jukebox. Although IMO this one could also have been used:

Well, we now know who's the unofficial carnal knowledge welcome wagon. Instead of Que Sera Sera, I think Doughboyz Cashout is more her style. ("Let a B be a B and a H be a H") (NSFW) Then again, I guess that's a lot better than an extracurricular freestyle sibling tracheotomy.
OK, it would have been REALLY dark, but, just WTF would have been her reaction and explanation if she HAD done the deed, and they were all still there? The jig was up either way, so, she just played herself whilst she was also being played. Also, did she REALLY just run off into the forest, or, perhaps to one of those "hiding places" with the reverend's help.
On to the next episode....
This bitch needs to go
7/10
Yawn fest. Shame. Started off so well
So, one minute Ethan runs up the hill towards the colony...the next he's walking up the stairs with a limp?
I thought the show was heading towards a fast pace, and by episode 5 we should get at least a little revelation.
Not sure if I just completely missed it or what, but could someone remind me again what the sheriff's "big plan that might/might not fail" was?
I tried browsing through the episode again, but couldn't find anything specific, just he mentioned the idea when he's talking to his wife, then at the end says he know what to do now ... but I have no clue what exactly.
the priest is more sociopath than SARA .. he probably went and helped her run and hide .
priest and his religious shit is boring as hell! wish they would get on with the mystery quickly instead of wasting time
No, no, no! The answer is 42, not 12!
I think the only one who survived the accident was the little boy
The fifth episode, “Silhouettes”, was a mixed bag for me. While the show has been slow to start, with barely anything happening halfway through, this episode was the biggest culprit of dragging along without offering much new.
Nevertheless, I am excited to see what Boyd’s “big swing” will be, and with Victor having dug all those graves last episode, it seems like bloodshed is imminent.
I noticed something: so far, Toby and Ethan have been the ones the voices have targeted, urging Sara to kill. Could it be the voices sense danger from them? Toby was Jade’s friend, and Ethan is connected to the mysterious Child in the woods, who appears to be offering assistance.
Even though this episode was a letdown, I’m still looking forward to seeing where the show goes and what will happen next.
01x05 - Silhouettes: 6.2/10 (Fair)
Wow... episode 5 goes wrong. Episodes 1-4 are pretty smartly written. They build the tension and intrigue - and have genuinely scary moments.
Episode 5 rams this into reverse, the episode bores you to death... and you suddenly have a flash of insight when the woke insert arrives. Who were the writers on this... well... 1-4 were written by men. Can you guess who wrote 5? Tip: it wasn't a man. It was a writer from the atrocious Cowboy Bebop adaptation.
Now to be fair, the middle part of seasons tend to be slower as they try to establish the characters more and save up money for a blow out at the end of the season... but even allowing for this, the episode is just childishly written and annoying.
I really hope the rest get back to 1-4 quality and they send the writer of 5 out to write greetings cards or something.

The season is half over and I feel like barely anything has happened. Character interactions are boring as hell. The acting is questionable at times. When is this show gonna kick into high gear? When am I gonna start giving a crap?
It’s a shame because there’s some true potential here.
