Oh, we're not stopping here, and we can't wait to figure out where we're all going.

Dang what a finale. It doesn't answer any questions but I am really excited for Season 2. Hopefully they renew it.

Omg... This show started really strong and I had such high hopes for it, but they give us THIS as a season finale?!
Literally nothing happened!
Walk in the woods, a proposal, family time, prayer time, a little action at the last 5' and... end credits!

After this bad ending, it’s clear for me that the creators also don’t know what is happening there

Season's finale, give us at least a damn clue. Oh yeah, spiders...

loading replies

Been enjoying it, but really hoping it doesn't have the same conclusion as Lost. Certainly has the same vibe.

loading replies

Very much a Lost type of ending where nothing is resolved and we just become more confused. Lets hope they dont tease us during multiple seasons where we end up with crap and a ton of wasted time.

loading replies

If you are a fan of the tv series Lost well you have found yourself an encore. This show has been nothing but a roller coaster. I have enjoyed every bit of it and I am sure you would too. Spoiler alert: Most people hates the season finale. Personally I don’t mind it as long as we get a second season to explain.

:warning: Full disclaimer: Do not stop watching until you hear this line “your wife shouldn’t be digging that hole, Jim” :joy:

I must be a genius because I know what water does to electricity and what kind of problems it might cause but hey... still eager to see what the mystery will turn out to be: something great or something severely disappointing. We'll see in a couple of seasons... perhaps.

loading replies

I think I figure it out ! The horn, the light it Cloverfield !!! Lol any way 9 great episodes the final was the weakest of the season still I hope we get a second season

loading replies

Wait a minute, if they didn't know a storm was coming, then how did they already have an umbrella at the ready, as well as a damn place to set it up on that make-shift radio table , LMAO ???

loading replies

@Tasa24 - While I agree with the first and third of your points, I politely disagree with your second one, in that I still have high hopes for the show, and, as such, am willing to give the writers a chance to catch their second wind. This should give them plenty of time to brainstorm some new ideas, but, on a down note, we will have to wait until next season to see if the seeds they have planted sprout and flourish, or wither and die before they've had a chance to mature.

But when you think about it, unless they find a way to expand the mythology, this is really a one or two season concept at best, unless you start killing off main cast members and replacing them, as you can only wander the backcountry so long, or dig so many holes, rinse and repeat, before your audience gets bored.

I sincerely hope the writers actually have an answer to all this shit and aren't just making stuff up on the spot. I'm liking it, but I just can't get myself to be too invested because I lived through Lost lol.

Soo one light can power a hair dryer, but radio needs a whole building of cables? I just hope they are not gonna connect power directly to an antenna.

Im forced to suspend my disbelief there really hard to ignore it.

loading replies

I sure hope this doesn't turn into another Lost. This finale sure feels like it.

loading replies

The people in this show are really retarded and annoy me so much, everyone seems to be content with living forever in this fucked up place, nobody wants to leave?! They arrived, drove round the road a couple times then accepted that they’ll never leave? Nobody thought of going through the forest at some point? Any attempt to leave is looked down upon. Now convinced this MUST be some freaky CIA experiment on mass psychology or some shit and they’re just in a Truman show type arena

Great finale - last 10 minutes are as good as you can get.

Starting to get HUGE Lost vibes - which isn't a good thing. Didn't a bunch of Outsiders become part of the cast at the end of Season 1 of Lost? Also the randomly generated storm on the verge of achieving something, feels very generated. There's also a symbol in play. Hopefully this series surprises me cause I'm enjoying it but the Lost comparisons and the fear of what may come like Lost, is a concern.

Whoa! What a f**kin’ finale! So happy to see Viktor again. I can not wait to see how things unravel.

it feels like he got punished lmao

i hope season 2 is better . and no cliffhangers on it

Decent episode, bad season finale. Not any answers at all. I guess maybe they’re more sentient than before? Has the boy in white been telling Sara to kill everybody? I doubt it but.

7/10

I enjoyed the first season and will be watching season 2. I still have no idea what's going on. I thought maybe time in the town might be different from the 'outside' world but I guess not with the coach arrival. That'll be fun. Watching them freak out.

loading replies

I liked the show and the series but this finale was nothing. It showed nothing and not pop. Very disappointed. Also, I believe the writers don’t know where to go with the story. (Spoiler). I like when a bus pulls in…lol

With all the similarities this show has to LOST, now it seems they're setting up their own "others" lol

loading replies

I've enjoyed the show, especially the "Lostness" it has presented, and the guiding hand of Lost's Harold Perrineau as Boyd. However as its first season ends, I have some concerns.

For me, compelling fiction requires consistent character development. This is especially important when the storyline is very convoluted. When it's impossible to figure out where the action is leading, the only anchor will be the behavior of the main characters. In the last two episodes of the season, I felt each of the primary players became unrecognizable. Everyone (other than Victor and Ethan ) seemed to make more than a stumble, making it hard to understand if any of them were worth caring about.

I'm hoping the writers will prove me wrong when the second season begins and they'll fully develop this promising quest.

With an ending like that, I felt my time was wasted.

No real resolution on the greater issues, and what subplots we had were brushed over quickly.

I'm sure i'll return for season 2, but it wont be on premiere night.

Does anyone remember the dream sequence in Ingmar Bergman's film, "Wild Strawberries?" It was full of symbolism, but, ultimately had no deeper meaning. Not a fault...a feature. Hehehe

I'm not going to criticize this show for being an amalgam of (the best of?) horror, mystery and thrillers...it's worked for me. [I use deep feelings to self-medicate my A.D.D....the dopamine helps me concentrate -- even if that trick of the mind isn't portable (yet) to studying for my CCNA, or Python, or Linux Administration, it does Deepin deepen my enjoyment of the shows that've captured my Gaze.]

Mikey likes it.
