Not amazing but still very watchable, going to continue watching as im a huge fan of the movie.
Hadn't heard of the movie, and from the description it didn't sound like something I'd enjoy. Not long into the first episode things weren't looking like I'd last through to the end. Not sure when, but at some point during that first episode, I was hooked. Binge-hooked. Sunrise occurred somewhere around episode 8. Watch the entire first episode if you're previewing the show -- on a day when you don't have to wake up early for work... Overall, a lot of fun to watch the twisted little world they've created.
One of those shows you just have to accept for what it is -- you're either going to like it or hate it -- Very much enjoyed seasons 1 & 2... season 3, not so much. It wasn't completely awful, but for the most part seemed the the makeup effects people were entertaining each other and not the viewer. Not their fault -- compared to the first 2 seasons, they had a lackluster, clichéd plot to deal with. I lasted through the 4th episode of characters chasing each other round & round, then gave up. Watched the finale, wasn't inspired to backtrack missed episodes. Wouldn't be surprised if there were a season 4, but I won't be tuning in...
First episode left much to wish for. But I powered through, and the following two or three episodes were actually quite remarkable, and felt very fresh and different. Good acting, and very nice and thought-through footage, colors
and environments. Sadly, when the storyline reaches the club, it rapidly drops to mediocrity and cliche. Surprised, you will watch it shift from something dark, unique and promising, into The Goonies slash Indiana Jones slash bad soft porn. Still worth watching for that first half of the season though.
huge fan of the movie, and this is doing very well so far. as a tv show it has plenty of opportunity to provide further back-story we didn't get to see in the movie. only downside is the kate from the movie was alot hotter then the new kate lol, and also no cheech marin :(
Bad trash. What a waste of an hour!
The movie I really was, back then, very excited for to see.... and then I saw it. salutes Major disappointment! But then, the series was announced and a trailer was released. I was intrigued. Then the first couple of episodes became available on Netflix and I was hooked. Until season 2. Season 2 totally destroyed the series for me. Basically, they should have shot season 1 and should have left it at that.
Like an extended edition of the movie....

insane, over the top, and loads and loads of fun...totally mindless entertainment that is just made for pure enjoyment and nothing else

As someone who hasn't seen the films/comics. The experience of watching the first 3 episodes, essentially blind to the story, has been fantastic. Loving it so far. The second seasonal renewal is actually what got me to catch up on the first 3 episodes and if this is the quality I can expect for the rest of the season(s) then I have to say, bring it on!
It's hard to rate a show on only 3 episodes but so far, most deservedly an 8/10. It's got me so excited finding a new show like this. Can't wait for more.

Watching the first season now. It's way better than the movie. Since the movie had it's corny parts. The show has more character development and yes more of a story.
