Wow just subscribed to Hulu tonight and this was the first TV series I watched and I am hooked.
I'm torn on this show. Part of me likes it because of what is actually causing the zombies and the people that were made by the lab. But then it lapses into typical teenage drama and while I understand they are high schoolers, when you're in the midst of a zombie outbreak, should you really get pissed that the guy you broke up with, because you thought he was cheating on you, kisses another girl, even though that in the 5 days you've been stuck in the school, you have another boyfriend? It just gets to be too much sometimes. But at this point, I feel like I've invested too much time at this point to not see where it goes. No word on season 3 yet but they left off on a pretty big cliffhanger so I'm hoping they'll continue the story.
Just binged Season 1...and wondered why I didn't watch earlier.
Sure, another zombie series with many of the text book plot techniques ...but it feels a little different. It has some special effects, but doesn't rely on theme instead of a plot. Teen angst, intrigue, zombies, and range of factors all mixed together in a way that isn't startling - but is definitely watchable.
If you don't mind a little bit of blood, I recommend you give this a try.
