"Thirty years I've been killing him; that was just when he fell." OMG. The writing and acting in this show is above all else.
"Aporia" is a surprisingly great penultimate episode that sees a return to form for Fargo. Varga and Nikki's negotiation scene is arguably the best this season has offered so far, and Ewan McGregor delivers his best performance on Fargo to date. Varga's schemes are a delight to watch, and now it appears he has met his match. It was good to see the IRS agent again, with Nikki providing him evidence that may very well end Varga's rein. I also enjoyed Gloria and Winnie's bonding near the end, though I felt Gloria's dialogue was a little too on-the-nose about how she feels invisible and ineffective.
Overall, high-quality return to form.
that scene in which carrie coon saying to olivia sandoval : I don't actually exsist" killed me
What i liked the most about this one was how emotive was Carrie Coon's character's arc.
The exchange between Swango and Varga was amazing. They both playing some brilliant mind games and executing plans. Now that the IRS dude has the evidence, the finale is going to be a a massive explosion of awesome.
GIVE ALL THE AWARDS TO MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD AND CARRIE COON!!!
I really liked Varga's quote: "The problem is not that there is evil in the world. The problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?"
Another Big Lebowski reference when Nikki said there was Varga's dirty undies in the briefcase. Hes is throwing a ringer for a ringer.
I liked that turn of the plot, Nikki is now taking control of the situation. Fantastic scene between both criminal minds.
Noah Hawley is a gosh darn genius.
I love everything about this season: the cast, the soundtrack, the story telling.
Another 11/10 episode.
Carrie Coon gets the pain hugged out of her #2, but way less cathartic. Nicely works on a meta level however, as she becomes convinced she's not real, maybe even meaningless to the whole blood feud, as she accepts that the world of the show accepts and welcomes her. Not as someone who stands below the happenings, but as someone who is above them, like a guardian angel who's doing her job as best as she can, better than others and just relentlessy works to make things right.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world. The problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?"
The acting in this show is tremendous. From Ewan McGregor in the precinct to David Thewlis quietly freaking out and trying to maintain control to Winstead in the hotel and finally Coons who carries this episode in her ultimate strength through sadness. Great build up to a hopefully satisfying finale, but knowing this show, I'm sure it will be. I can't wait (although I'll have to as I'll be out of town! D'oh!).

Varga can keep adding zeroes to his salary offer but Ray is the only zero that would make Nikki happy.
