Some seasons are better than others but every one has a few wtf moments not to be missed lol love it
It's one these very few TV Series that if you haven't watched yet, you are just waiting way too long.
I think that with a very few others, it most probably deserves a rating scale of its own, staying on the conservative side, I will give it 12 over 10.
You may or may not like the underlying story but in and by itself its only released season (1st) yet is a masterpiece of "cinema/tv", much like the Soprano's, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers and a few others have been before.
The way the story is told and the characters are developed are for sure posed to change how story telling is approached on TV. Even if you only are technically curious about to where quality TV Series will be moving in script writing, acting and directing, this 1st season is a must watch.
But if you're anything like most of us, you will also greatly enjoy it from a pure viewer perspective.
RATED AS TV SHOW ONLY
Season 1 - loved it!
Season 2 - loved it, and I like it better each time I watch it!
Season 3 - disappointed
Season 4 - I skipped it because I felt burnt from Season 3
Season 5 - Way way way way way too pretentious, and I’m a liberal. C’mon, where the hell is the fun and wittiness from S1 & S2?
S05: Great cast and story. Fits very well into the world of 'fargo'. Hard to believe but you know it is all true.
Loved every season, but this season 5 is building up to be a great one. Absolutely love the characters.
I hope they keep. coming up with more Fargo seasons.
My rating exists for Season 1 and Season 1 only, the other seasons didn't really hook me as much as the first.
The first season is so good it's even better than the film.
2nd season is really bad compare to the first one
1st season was brilliant and the second one was "just" good. But then again the 1st one was probably one of the best shows I ever watched.
In a very creepy way, this is brilliant. Can´t stop watching. Billy Bob is the best in 1st season.
This show went downhill after the first season
The second wast watchable after that i ditched it
It's great.
Anyway, what's up with second season's UFO, third season's mysterious man and forth season's ghost?
season1 liked it just flows. i liked charachters. martin freeman, chubby cop girl.
season 2 has different story . butcher family i liked them.
s2 story : mafia, 2 group conflicts. some absurd killing occurs at diner shop. its linked to the butcher family.
i liked season 1 better. im at the s2ep5 just watching for the butcher family . skipping forward the scenes with crime group
Season 1 started out and I thought it was dumb but the more I watched the better it got. Working on Season 2 starting out slow.
99% perfect show can't wait for the next season
tried it but it was a snoozefest with all the slow build up, couldnt get past the boredom to see if there is something better lying ahead
Need to watch just Season 5.
Absolutely love the last current season captured by the whole story and characters fantastic.
Loved the first 3 seasons the 4th didn’t follow the same pattern as the others and wasn’t as good
God how great. I never understood season 4. But the rest is unbelievably great shit.
Season 5 is as good as season's 1 and 2.
Love it!!
10/10
Season 1 - 3 are 10/10. Skip season 4.
Just go watch Season 1 and stop reading. But don't watch the rest of the seasons.
Season 5 = cure for insomnia rate 4/10
I really like the anthology style seasons. stylish, cool, violent, and tense. all with the droll and simple trappings of the northern Midwest, and doesn't miss any of the humor therein
Is there gonna be a season 5?
Loved this series. It was a little bit quirky but had some great action and thrilling moments. A lot of brilliant stars... Until the last season (4). It was ridiculous, it went all political and boring. Couldn't watch season 4. They ruined a great TV series.
I enjoyed this. As a whole series I don't think it's as good as the movie. My main takes from this are:
Male cops (for the most part) - thick as the proverbial
Female cops (for the most part) - intuitive and intelligent.
It's nowhere near as funny as it thinks it is. Some stuff is just dumb people doing dumb shit; which shows no signs of changing.
One of the best Shows out of hundreds ive seen. Especially Season 1 is so so good, love Billy Bob Thornton.
No need to explain. Masterpiece.
Just amazing. And I love that each season is it's own story. This is definitely something I would watch again and again. Great TV!s is
This show was good from season 1-4. In fact, it was amazing. I think people hated 4 because they are snowflakes who can't handle the fact racism exists. It was super interesting. It had felt kind of like Boardwalk Empire but in the 50's. Only with some details. Honestly 1-3 are my favorite. They were so damn good. Then 5 came, and it's trash. Literal trash. It's a giant waste of time that goes nowhere, ever, and only serves to show you Kias. In fact Kia product placement is so bad, i think scenes were created that didn't need to be in it, specifically so they could show off the Kia. I do NOT LIKE my time being wasted. I only have so much time on this earth. Thanks. The writing also is horrible. Idk what happened. It's a serious waste of talented actors like Foley & Hamm, which makes me sad
yo where is season 4?
FARGO - Season 02, Episode 06: “Rhinoceros”
The first season of FX’s FARGO created & written by the demigod known as Noah Hawley established itself as a series unto itself, in which its sprawling several settings, deeply nuanced characters, and clever labyrinthian story arcs were a rich source for entertainment. The green light for production on Season 02 of FARGO was never in doubt from FX/MGM’s perspective; however, Noah Hawley and his creative assistants made clear that they would only proceed further with the proposed anthology series if/when they felt the material for a second season could be strong enough...
All of this is to say that Season 02 of FARGO kicked off with an (almost entirely) new cast of characters, with a setting in Space + Time that expands its own canon in ways that left the original 1996 Cohen Brother’s film in the dust, while at the same time keeping itself deftly tethered to Season 01.
With each episode in the first half of FARGO S02, (Ep.1-5), yarns were spun and rounds fired at a dizzying rate – with a confidence so earnest that as a viewer it felt like anything could happen to anyone at anytime because this show created & written by Noah Hawley had the audience in its firm, cold grip.
IF ANYONE WATCHING SEASON 02 FOR THE FIRST TIME, (ASSUMING THEY’VE ALREADY SEASON 01 OBVIOUSLY), FELT ANY UNCERTAINTY REGARDING WHETHER OR NOT THIS SECOND SEASON COULD HOLD UP TO ITS PREDECESSOR, LET THIS SINGLE EPISODE BE MARKED AS THE HOUR OF TELEVISION IN WHICH FARGO THE TELEVISION SERIES CEMENTED ITSELF ABOVE ITS PREVIOUS SEASON AND PROVED NO MATTER HOW ENTERTAINING OR CLEVER EARLIER EPISODES MAY HAVE BEEN, WE ARE CLEARLY ONLY SEEING THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG; AND THE REMAINING SECOND HALF OF SEASON 02 IS NOTHING SHORT OF MASTERFUL. BEGINNING WITH EPISODE 06, “RHINOCEROS,” THE AUDIENCE IS TREATED TO AN HOUR OF TELEVISION THAT RANKS AMONG THE HIGHEST CALIBER.
Fans of “Breaking Bad” will no doubt contend this praise, and say it’s not as good as Vince Gilligan’s series – and they’ll be wrong, and that’s okay! Only a few times have I ever seen an hour of a TV series as propulsive, as endlessly-watchable, as pioneering in terms of writing, directing, score, acting, editing, and cinematography as FARGO S02E06; the other shows that have proven capable of achieving this absurdly high status in quality before include (but are not limited to) all-time-masterpieces like, “The Wire,” “Deadwood,” “Twin Peaks,” “The Knick,” “The Americans,” and “True Detective.”
Enjoy.
Season three was better than two but i didn't like the ending.
Season two dragged in about of places. No where near as good as soon one. Just started season three and so far seems better than two
.
Season one was great. Season two seems to drag in alot of places but it's okay. Hopefully season the doesn't stink.
Fantastic in every way. Season 2 still my favorite so far.
Season 1&2 great 5 stars! Season 3 with great actors but many logical mistakes and a questionable disappointing open end: 2 stars.
I love Fargo so much that I'm just gonna pretend season 3 didn't even existed
Season one was amazing... wasn't sure if they could keep it interesting in season two, but yes they did. Can't wait to watch season 3. We've been binge-watching this show - not sure I could have kept my sanity waiting for the next episode every week.
What a great show love it
My favorite season, so far.
It looks like Lester... better call Saul.
Ba dum tss
Liked the first season so far!
So cool show. Second season it's even better than the first!
First season is fantastic, but the whole "These events took place in Minnesota in 2006, names have been changed out of respect for the survivors, the rest is exactly as it happened out of respect for the dead" is just a cheap shot when it's a blatant lie.
I found a gem! If you are missing Breaking Bad, this is it! They are not very different deep down. Ah, I don't know what that deep down is but yeah, bestest thing to happen for television. The character just grows in this series into something more sinister like you will go from "Oh no, poor chap" to "burn in hell you rotten piece of shit" sinister! Phenomenal piece of work and it's a true story :D
I can only comment on the first season but o boy, was it a good one.
Good show, I think it's a must watch for everyone who likes action and investigation series. Although, I think the second season is overrated.
It is a must watch for everyone, but if you doubt whether you should watch this or some other show you were dying to watch, in my opinion start the other show first.
Do you miss Breaking Bad, well you just found your next show. Different but not that different deep down.
Both actually deal how the intelligence put to work effectively is the best weapon a human has. But at the same time shows how there are a lot of people that just can see an elephant even if it seated on top their noses.
They'll always see the trees but never get to see the forest because they are not willing to take two steps back to gain perspective.
Great comedy. I want the next season yesterday please
Great show. Story line to me is a little slow paced and awkward to a point with a small town feel. Again a good show to dive in to on #Netflix. However I did come across by accident.
Fantastic show! I liked it.
Fantasic quirky show. Billy Bob back to his best. A brilliant turn from Martin Freeman. Would recommend this to anyone who likes their shows slowly drawn out and a bit out there.
I loved it! Great show.
i like this show so much
I didn't know they make them like this anymore. Don't know what I mean? Well check it out for yourself.
Out of 10 episodes, 3 or 4 were interesting, the rest was filled with too many details you will feel bored within. But generally, it's a good series for its main events, the dialogue was good. It would only be better if it was 7 or 8 episodes.
I watched the 3 first episode today..what a blast ... I love it
I am so sick of that chick cop. Her stupid face and her STUPID voice. Such a great show ruined by a terrible choice of an "actress" UGH!
Great show. Surprisingly funny
Maybe it's too early to give decent reviews, but I was pretty surprised and impressed by the pilot... doesn't happen that often, at least at such an early point. I can't do anything else but to recommend at least watching the pilot, this is everything you can possibly expect from a pilot. Decent acting, great writing and a nice twist of (kind of black) humor and violence... awesome!
Great start, cant wait for episode 2!
blood pumping and violently desireable
what an eye-popping violence, this is a brave attempt of successfully making a tv series out of the original film

This show is a masterpiece. Something we needed for all the horrible shows being released lately.
