Fuck everyone who took part in forcing Daisy to marry William, poor girl. At least he got what he deserved.
William was such a sweet and adorable man; he truly had the purest heart, and it’s so painful to see him come to such an early death… and to think so many young men just like him suffered a similar fate during the war in real life too… Absolutely devastating just to think about it…
Also, I just want to say I’m so proud of the strong and kind young woman Mary has grown into! The way she has welcomed Lavinia so warmly and treated William and her so respectfully truly deserves some admiration. She’s been very helpful to them both. It’s incredibly selfless and I really love her growth this season.
On another note, I do have to say I find it quite painful to see William truly does seem to love Lavinia. If he hadn’t gone cripple he genuinely would have married someone else… and I find that quite an unromantic notion when I were to consider a future between him and Mary.
