Another great bit of weirdness. I loved the opening conceit, where the ersatz Ernie recognizes that terrible things happen when these songs occur, and he laments being taught about "dreams" by a talking lamp. The intermediate part of the short, with the red guy waking up as an office drone and yearning for his weird old life was a nice shift that paid dividends from putting the puppety qualities on display in "the real world." And the finale, combining the red guy's experience with discovering some kind of nightmare machine that's seemingly been used by the severe looking puppet to torment them, was great. The implication that "unplugging" just starts the whole process over again is a horrifying, Twilight Zone-esque twist at the end. All-in-all, great bizarre stuff.
