Clara admits she wholeheartedly loves Danny, and then this idiot doesn't look if a car is coming. This soldier who you would think be a person who would even more be careful and just simply look if a car is coming. Bad death and makes me feel less.
Ugh.
And the writer makes it part of Clara's fault because she told him she loved him.
Ugh.
So unncessarily tragic and hurtful to do that to a companion.
And this all around the barely developed and badly executed relationship between Clara and Danny.
Ugh.
I don't care at all about Danny dying.
Then there's the comments from Clara about Danny's death being boring. Out of character ridiculous writing.
Clara wouldn't know where all the tardis keys are, and he could also snap his fingers to go back in the tardis, which she would also obviously know because she's even done it herself. Bad writing.
Clara would also not have thrown the last key in. Bad writing. If it was successful then she and the doctor would burn to death screaming. No.
I loved the patch not working on the doctor, and him turning the tables.
Realistically, the doctor would have dumped her back on her doorstep and that would be it. But this was the first face 12 saw, so he's attached to her and feels responsible for her. And as a companion, it's extra responsibility because he has helped to mold her.
Lucky that there's a literal afterlife that's been created this season, otherwise when the doctor and Clara tried to find Danny, nothing would have happened and that would be the end.
Moffat isn't known for writing well for female characters, in fact he's got a lot of criticism for it. I'm sure he's changed-
Missy forces a kiss on the doctor upon first meeting him.
Ugh.
And of course, it's Moffat, so Missy is another femme fatale type character. I like her though.
And i'll admit, the situation got a laugh out of me.
The time lord technology of the matrix makes sense, being able to store so much inside.
Still don't like the design of the cyberman. I prefer the look, sound and walk of the RTD ones.
So there's a scheme to transfer the original consciousness of every human that has died throughout history and the universe (or just on earth?) and then they also replicate the physical body of that person and then stick the consciousness back in. So they have all these trillions of humans in the afterlife and this extremely advanced technology and all the greatest minds ever... And the scheme is...
To harvest the minds and bodies to make them into cybermen.
I mean i guess it's a good scheme.
Wouldn't it have been noticed inside the matrix? What exactly is society like there, with trillions of humans and technology spanning millions of years? Or was there a cutoff of technololgy to stop people from knowing the plot and being able to stop them? I guess we'll have to headcanon that, as we only know it's like a planet wide city with tall buildings, bright lights and car horns. No that's literally all we see.
Shouldn't there be billions or trillions of cybermen by now? I guess Missy was waiting for the doctor to arrive to fully unleash her plan. And maybe the doctor and Clara came early into the plan before there were that many cybermen.
I guess there isn't a lot because their only base is this building. Maybe it's not their main base though but it's inside the afterlife matrix? And so are they going to start teleporting cybermen by the million? All around the world? Since they have the technology to teleport people's consciousness and replicate their physical bodies, they must be able to do that, unless they haven't made that many cybermen yet. And that's also why the afterlife matrix is so busy, because they haven't got a fast enough conversion yet.
Still, it's kind of strange how Missy has been able to do all of this. To just snatch the consciousness of anyone throughout history and store billions or trillions of them in the matrix, and also maintain a link with all of them to their original bodies throughout all of time, because they can still feel the pain of the original body, or something.
Eh?
I didn't really care what Danny was going through, and Clara and the Doctor didn't have much to do.
Danny is so annoying. Clara should have ditched him half a season ago.
danny is a f*cking trash

I've never particularly liked Clara and now I know why. She has absolutely no fixed character. The writers just use her to say and do random shit to make things interesting, which means at one moment she's extremely clever and saves the world (or at least the Doctor) and the next she's a bi-polar bundle of emotion-driven actions. They tried to give her a boyfriend to show she isn't one-dimensional but really, the complete lack of chemistry between the two, the fact that their relationship somehow got serious out of nowhere, and the sad truth that he - unlike her - actually has relatively consistent writing, only made her character seem even more disjointed. I mean, she occasionally has some good moments, but then suddenly she goes absolutely crazy like in the beginning of the episode (or that moment last episode with the children).
