The ending sucks, I don't believe it, stop at season 8!
Good show. Works remarkably well. You know Dexter well. Nothing to explain and the show doesn't waste time on that. That's why you understand how life in that quiet town must be like for him and what temptations he has to battle every day (although I miss the contrast between sunny Florida and horror & at times this setting feels too Fargo-ish). From this point on things go south ... It's certainly the finale and ending for Dexter the original series would have deserved.
Didn’t expect it to be this good, especially because of the imo frustrating Harrison story line. We want more!
The weakest season ever. These writers are just plain dumb.
Demonizing firearm purchasers in the first 10 minutes of the first episode is telling of what kind of show this is going to be.
edit: dropped at episode 1. What a terrible, woke, pathetic show.
I wish that self-righteous bitch Deb had stayed dead instead of Yoda-ing her way back. Disliked her in the last few seasons of dexter, hated her here. Also, good shot Harrison. Let it really end here. Please. No ghost of dexter please.

The entire season was good, nearly great. It truly felt like Dexter.
That is until the last episode has undone it all:
- Dexter Morgan abandoned the code
- he did not think logically. Could've easily get Harrison to corroborate he delivered him the screw from a stranger
- the ending of the letter felt like a very weak excuse
I wished somebody has told me not to watch the last episode and just imagine an open ending instead.
I'm angry and disappointed.
