1 of 4. Slow burn - perhaps too much of a slow burn. Tom Kendrick's wife and three children died in a house fire. Tom survived by the skin of his teeth. But why do all the victims (and Tom) have injection marks and pine needles in their clothes?
I wouldn't recommend this series. The acting wasn't too bad. But the plot was all over the place sometimes. Also the use of flashbacks was inconsistent and did not create a lot of depth or gave much insight for some of the characters. Some of their actions are not explained and felt implausible.
It looked promising in the beginning but certainly after episode 2 it went south with a disappointing finale.
As usual, Tennant shines in his performance, but this is disturbing subject matter with almost zero upside. A bunch of ordinary people illustrate how easy it is to live, work and dine with a monster, because we prefer tidy facades.
It was alright and I will literally watch anything w David Tennant in it bc I’m in love W him
I've just watched this for the second time it is such a good show.
It's incredible how painfully slow this is for a show that has only 4 episodes. I like slower pace, but this one really drags on. And it's not a whodunit show, the perpetrator is revealed early on and it's quite obvious. Acting is solid, but the plot and the whole execution is what Trakt rating would call - meh. I forced myself to finish it just because of Tennant. Otherwise, it's easily skippable, there are many crime shows out there that are way more interesting. 5/10 from me.
Another great, tension filled, UK drama. David Tennant needs to do a couple of nice guy roles, though. He’s stuck on menacing. Cush Jumbo is always a chameleon. Great supporting performances. I give this limited series an 8 (great) out of 10. [Crime Drama]

Very good show... keeps you guessing who was to blame right up until the end. Solid 9/10
