Dark Winds 2022

A crime-drama that occurs in the 70's around a tribal área.

I enjoyed the cast and the type of story has a Longmire feel to it.

The show is watchable and entertaining - especially if you like Native American themed mysteries "a la" Thunder Heart. That being said it's a bit corny, sappy, mopy, unrealistic, stupid and pretentious... and the only likeable and almost not annoying character is the bad guy. The lead is unfortunately almost unbearably annoying IMO. How could he not be with a name like "Zahn". Hi, my name is Zahn but my friends call me Zzzzz.

Although as a thriller it sometimes has shortcomings, caused by the accumulation of subplots and a dark ending, in the literal sense of the word, the series achieves its own personality in its deepening of the relationships and the different perceptions within a Navajo reservation. There is a revolutionary look, an attitude of resignation and a disaffection that contrast in an interesting way, but also a spirituality that retains, in spite of itself, the naive image of the Natives.

First episode was good, looks like a show that will be right up my street. Can't beat a good psychological thriller.

This was actually a pretty cool show. It’s kind of like a modern western, but with a supernatural feel to it as well. I definitely hope they continue to make more season of this one.

This was surprisingly good. I got it because it sounded interesting but never started watching it because I was afraid that in this super woke era that it would be all about how the terrible white man oppressed the peaceful Indians - and while there was some of that it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected and I enjoyed the show.

I thought the witchcraft nonsense could have been just left out, but I know the book had it so the show needed it as well. I found myself binge watching it after the first episode.

A mostly by-the-numbers procedural cop drama elevated by strong performances and some interesting folk horror elements coming from the custom and witchcraft. Have hopes for season 2.

A good series that I would recommend to watch for those who like detective and mystery series.

I just finished the first season and it turned out better than I expected. Of course, it is not a fargo or true detective for example, but it is worth watching. The first 3 episodes start a little slow and progress slowly. However, as the episodes progress, it gets better and better and makes a nice finale.

We see that robert redford and george rr martin are executive producers. What makes the series above average is very good acting, believable script, interesting plot and good dialogues.

The year is 1971. A major bank robbery takes place, and the helicopter carrying the robbers crashes into Indian territory. Navajo police lieutenant joe leaphorn is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. His new deputy jim chee accompanies him on a journey that reveals more and more of the wounds of his past as he gets closer to the truth. A struggle begins as the two men search for clues to solve the mysteries and challenge their own spiritual beliefs.

Season 2 has been a bit of a letdown so far, it's leaving me a bit lost with what's going on

Kind off looking forward to seeing this, but after episode three I really wasn't interested anymore the story. And apart from a couple of actors, the acting in general wasn't exactly top notch... after watching an entire episode dedicated to a girl getting her period, (I still don't know why this had to have an entire episode dedicated to it) I actually didn't want to see it through, but unfortunately I did...

So far so good.

It is an interesting story with a good cast.
Since I don't live in America, I can't speak ot the authenticity.
