Lots of cliches, almost everything goes as you would expect but still this works very well, because it does everything very well. The acting cast is almost perfect, great acting and more than believable singing/playing (which is of course quite important). The four main actresses ooze charisma, are really, really good and they also are stunningly beautiful. The songs are maybe not masterpieces but they work, they feel like what the story is telling you they are (which is big: most movies and TV shows about invented art have the problem that when they show you the art it sucks). Writing and directing are also quite goood (James Ponsoldt I love you): there’s passion, honest emotions even when it’s predictable, great attention to details in human relationships and when it actually surprises you it hits so hard. A masterpiece it is not, but it’s a great show.
LOVED! Now I just want more! I think I would have liked them to have casted a younger Billy, but that’s my only critique. The love and passion and angst and costumes and scenery and MUSIC. It was messy and uncomfortable, but they gave us a nice open ending. So hopefully, we’ll see a second season?!? Either way, SO good!!

So, this one will have spoilers for the TV Show and the book. I will more or less write a comparison here, because I really love the book and fell for the TV Show as well, sometimes despite the differences and sometimes because of them.
So, let's go into the good, the bad and the okay-ish.
The Good aka What really worked:
What didn't really work for me (I can't actually call it "bad" because it wasn't on show terms, but adaptation-wise)
The "in-between" or okay-ish.
Let's talk about changes or plot points I'm a bit torn about.
I think that's about it? There's probably more to say, but right now that's the things that come to my mind and it's already super long.
"Daisy Jones and The Six" is a great TV show based on the great novel. As an adaptation it is flawed, but it captures most of the book's essence. For me, I can only say that I enjoy both of them for what they are.
